I thought that when Helen was getting ready as well, did she have no other relations, Aunts, cousins, school friends to help her?

Wasn't there an Aunt living with them the first time that James went to tea there?

She seems to have been portrayed as popular/well thought of so you'd think that some locals would have popped into the church!

I loved that he was James Alfred Herriot!

I too don't like to think / can't understand either of them having not a single friend.

I thought the very small wedding in a beautifully decorated church looked like utter bliss!

I loved that much of the dialogue between Siegfried and James about the wedding/being inconvenient was very, very similar to the dialogue in the book.

Am loving the new series, 3? James and Helen married.
