I need to find a really good series to watch. Watched plenty recently that are fine but want something where I can't wait for the next episode. Want something really gripping with a good strong storyline and not comedy as I've got plenty of comedies I already want to see. Can be on any streaming service.

Things I've seen and loved are:
Game of Thrones
Stranger Things
Killing Eve
Breaking Bad
You
Lost in Space
Virgin River
Bodyguard
The Handmaid's Tale
The Walking Dead
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
Good Girls
Insatiable
iZombie
Lost
Maid
Mare of Easttown
Pretty Little Liars
The 100
Vikings

Not sure if The Missing is still streaming - but really good!

Impeachment on iplayer is good .

ScreamingMeMe · 08/12/2021 12:58

I second many of thise already mentioned! I'll try not to repeat any.

The Wheel of Time on Amazon Prime - new fantasy drama

Hanna on Amazon Prime - a series following the main protagonist from the film of the same name. Hanna is a very young undercover spy/assassin

Good Girls on Netflix - three ordinary suburban women fall into a life of crime. Stars Christina Hendricks

Fatgalslim · 08/12/2021 19:38

Secret City, Netflix. Great Australian series.

Helpimfalling · 08/12/2021 19:47

You don't know me.

BBC iPlayer.

All released had four or five parts.
I watched it all in one sitting.

Reminded me of
Usual suspects the film.

First
Thing I've really enjoyed in a while.

Ironically because the lead Character
Was in a drama I didn't rate
Lately (not because of this actor) Angela black.

But he is literally amazing and so believable. Amazingly
Played.

EvilShmeevil · 08/12/2021 19:53

In fairness, even in the not-great Angela black, he was still good.

EvilShmeevil · 08/12/2021 19:55

Home for Christmas on Netflix is a pleasant enough Swedish, rom-com type series.

mswales · 08/12/2021 19:59

Succession of course!!! Don't think it's an overstatement to say it may be the best television ever ever made

EllaPaella · 08/12/2021 20:11

Fargos on Netflix, with Billy Bob Thornton
The Outlaws BBC Iplayer
Hinterland - Netflix
Twin (great scandi drama)
Trapped (prime)

awaynboilyurheid · 08/12/2021 20:25

Your honour, Well acted American drama
And just on tv now, You don’t know me, well acted British drama

CrikeyPeg · 08/12/2021 20:30

If you enjoyed Breaking Bad, give Don't Call Saul a go. It's a pre/sequel to Breaking Bad with some crossover characters.

Why Women Kill - the first limited series was fun; the second I didn't bother finishing.
Secret City (Aussie)
Wanted (Aussie)
New Amsterdam
Lucifer
Cowboy Bebop
Queens Gambit
Unforgotten with Nicola Walker - I love her but we've jsut finished season 2 and I think she calls it quits and is replaced in the next seasons.
The Split, again with Nicola Walker.

Ohsugarhoneyicetea · 08/12/2021 20:40

Sounds like you like a bit of sci fi/fantasy, so in no particular order...
The Witcher
Travellers
Invasion
War of the Worlds (the canalplus one)
Foundation
The Expanse
American Horror Story Coven
The Nevers
A Discovery of Witches
Yellowstone

Clickbait was gripping.
