Robert Carlyle Sexiest Roles

Goldilocks99 · 07/12/2021 10:05

I've got an all consuming Robert Carlyle crush since binge watching Once Upon a Time. Which of his other roles is he sexiest in? Not Begbie!
Full disclosure: I'm a grown ass married woman and this is an embarrassing level of crush.

@OGenkiDesuKa

51st state.
Not for Robert Carlyle but for SLJ in a kilt!
FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 07/12/2021 19:51

Loved him in Hamish. But when he was in Cracker….

Creepy AF, but sexy. So damn sexy.

Oh sorry, I thought you meant code name project cobra(geeky ouat reference).
Yes he looks good in that. Will see if I can persuade DH to watch it one evening.

A film from so long ago... might have been 'Face'.

FlorrieLindley · 08/12/2021 18:51

He's very dishy in a film from some years ago, called 'Ravenous'. And it also has the rather handsome Guy Pierce in it too.

DonttouchthatLarry · 12/12/2021 23:03

Plunkett & Macleane is fab - but I prefer Jonny Lee Miller Grin

I saw Robert Carlyle whilst staying in Plockton where Hamish Macbeth was filmed.

Giggorata · 12/12/2021 23:21

In Stargate Universe, as Dr Nicholas Rush, sadly cancelled too soon.

AliceMcK · 12/12/2021 23:27

I’m another one for the 51st state.

I always remember him from cracker, and everytime I do I start chanting L I V E R P O O L LIVERPOOL FC in my head, not that I fancied him in that though 😆

Sewannoying · 12/12/2021 23:32

I remember being a teenager and transfixed by him in Hamish MacBeth. Watched it again more recently, and it was still so good.

IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere · 13/12/2021 00:44

Loved him in Hamish McBeth but when I watched it more recently it felt really dated. Loved him in the The Full Monty and Once Upon a Time in the Midlands but Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing and Charm School is his sexiest role.

iklboodolphrednosedpaindear · 13/12/2021 00:48

I HATED him in Cracker but good Lord he's an amazing actor.

spongedog · 13/12/2021 01:04

Yes the Cracker episode was disturbing. I need to revisit OUAT. Once Channel 5 abandoned it I have bought it series by series but never quite managed to watch it again.

But Jonny-lee Miller - now he is seriously hot. But arent the tats sleeves rather than real?

givethatbabyaname · 13/12/2021 01:50

Well, thanks to this thread I’ve just realised that Mark Bonnar is not, in fact, Robert Carlyle 🤦‍♀️ (Shetland)

LCHF2018 · 13/12/2021 02:01

Definitely Face - great film too

BasiliskStare · 13/12/2021 02:21

Whisper - my husband resembles an older Robert Carlisle ( shhhh) Ach I'm happy Grin

IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere · 13/12/2021 12:00

I think I like RC because he reminds me of my husband. Especially when they were both clean shaven.

dollybird · 13/12/2021 14:09

He played John Lennon on the film Yesterday

YouGotThisKeepGoing · 13/12/2021 14:10

Go Now

dudsville · 13/12/2021 14:17

I think he's a wonderful actor but this is one thread where I've not got it at all. Enjoy yourselves ladies!

LOL. There's a passing resemblance. But Mark Bonnar doesn't do anything for me.
