For those who saw it, what was that servant doing?

What was going on there then?

Can the Royal sperm not be spilled upon the bed sheets?

And I seriously doubt that Henry VIII ever shouted "I'M COMING". You'd think it would be more like "and verily the Royal seed it cometh". Or something.

Can any historians shed light on this. I am most perplexed.

Haven't been watching since the first episode, but in that one Cardinal Wolsey said something along the lines of "Get your arse over to the Pope" - so I'm guessing historical accuracy isn't top of the agenda.

I think that he wanked before he had sex with Ann Boleyn, in the belief that she would not get pregnant - becuase the final shot (pardon the pun) was of him saying he'd shot his load into AB in the woods and her, looking decidedly pissed off.

Why the servant was there? dunno.

Other than this last episode, what a fab series.

Yes DH and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. What a jolly romp. I would love to get myself a pair of highly raised bosoms, and to do needle point in a saucy manner.
