Its ending, no who said that, really its going to end, sobs uncontrollably. Well to get your fix then watch Cbeebies bedtime story, sometimes they have Adam Carter on except he calls himself Rupert, I expect its some MI5 secret mission he is on, seriously lush on the Cbeebee bed.....

mumblechum · 10/12/2007 14:31

Spooks is the only thing we watch on telly now. It's just fab, tho' Adam doesn't do a lot for me. Will try to get the original series on DVD, as missed most of it.

fairylights · 10/12/2007 14:34

rookie - i have been watching the story just to check if "adam" is reading it, my dh thinks its hilarious! really zaf was my man before but in his absence adam has won we over - what a disloyal woman i am

I think he looks way better on the C-Beebies bed than in Spooks, think its because his hair is longer. Of course if DH is around after my swooning I have to go, but DH you are more handsome of course.

BTW does anyone know what has happened to Adams son, I hope he is meant to be with his GPs because otherwise he is one lonely little boy

i think little Wes (adam's son) is at boarding school, the poor little mite, he looked no older than about 5 in the last series. A few episodes ago when Adam was trying to cover up that he had been with Anna he told Ros that Wes's housemaster had called to say Wes was homesick. I too have hoped that someone goes to visit him!
Oh dear, i must remind myself IT ISN'T REAL!!

bump! enjoy tonight..

incy · 11/12/2007 15:09

is it the last episode tonight?

florenceuk · 11/12/2007 15:41

I think there is just one more. I wonder if Adam goes in this one? Or will he reappear for one last episode as Matthew Macfadden did?

I have to admit I did not rate teh ros/adam relationship at all. Chemistry with anna seemed far more real.

pollypumpkin · 11/12/2007 16:02

Hello!! i LOVED the ros/adam relationship and I'm devastated that she has gone now - possibly because she has more wrinkles than me AND Adam fancied her. BTW apparently he is sometimes the voice of M&S - has anyone else heard that rumour?

fairylights · 11/12/2007 18:40

there is one more next week - so is adam leaving then?? oh noooooo!!!
And i loved the chemistry between him and Ros too, how old did you think she was?
According to her coffin (?!) she was only 34 and i thought she was a bit older than that. But then i am probably deluded about how young i look

OP posts:
florenceuk · 11/12/2007 19:02

Hermione Norris was born in 1968, so she's just short of 40. Rupert was born in 1970, so two years younger. And I don't reckon one (well two in total) bed scenes and a few soulful looks add up to chemistry!

hoxtonchick · 11/12/2007 19:03

she didn't smile enough i reckon. he is lush. only 2 hours to go...

pollypumpkin · 11/12/2007 19:43

Hoxton: when I was in MI5, I found it was difficult to smile much, what with all that spying and getting in coffins when I was alive and having horrid needles in my neck and that

Florence: So Hermione's nearly 40, but I like to think the coffin age was the real one - that way I can be younger looking than a 34 yr old!!!

themoon66 · 11/12/2007 20:30

There doesn't appear to be a BBC3 episode tonight.... so does that mean BBC1 at 9pm is the last of the series?

I'm sure I saw a trailer for this weeks on BBC3 last week though.

Hope it hasn't just dropped off the schedule.

tassisssss · 11/12/2007 20:47

firstly can i say that's it's taken almost 10 years of marriage for dh and I to find a tv prog we enjoy watching together

secondly, what's with the adam and cbeebies link? who's he on cbeebies? (not that we don't watch cbeebies in this house, just that I tend to plonk dcs in front of it and rush around and do jobs!)

finally dh and i were sad enough to stay up and watch the BBC3 episode last week after the regular one so I know what happens tonight...but I didn't clock it was the last episode, please tell me this isn't true!

rookiemater · 11/12/2007 20:47

Ha fairylights glad I wasn't the only one who spotted the coffin reference, Dh thought I was being a bit bitchy when I said she must have had a hard paper round for only being 34. I found this series quite amusing the way they had all these lingering shots of her when in reality she hasn't aged that well, gosh I am being mean.

tassisssss · 11/12/2007 21:00

is she pregnant in real life?

need to know about adam and cbeebies!

tassisssss · 11/12/2007 21:05

(just realised you're all glued to your screens so won't be able to answer me for an hour!)

FrostyTheSnowman · 11/12/2007 21:07

Just swooning over Rupert now

themoon66 · 11/12/2007 22:22

OK... so BBC1 just showed a trailer for next week's episode. So why is it not on BBC3 tonight???

incy · 12/12/2007 09:55

Next week is the end of the series so probably did not show on BBC3 to prevent 'spoilers.' They often seem to do that with a series end.

YEs HM is pregnant in real life (according to Red magazine)

fairylights · 12/12/2007 14:03

yeah i think they are saving the last one for next week so thats why it wasn't on BBC3.
I wonder if HM smiles in RL?
Anyway i enjoyed last night as ever..
tassissss: re cbeebies, he sometimes reads the bedtime story at about 6.50pm in the bedtime hour. But its infrequent i am afraid..but he is very sweet at it!
Feeling ambivalent about next week - can't wait to see last episode but worry i will feel bereft afterwards. I guess there is always christmas to distract me
(can i just say that i hardly watch any TV and have never been like this about any other programme..honest)

ChipButty · 14/12/2007 20:56

We were also a week ahead (thanks to BBC3) so have had to have a Spooks-free week this week.
Hermione Norris had her baby in the Summer (a girl, Hero)
Rupert is just about to finish filming a drama for the BBC/Kudos called 'Burn Up'.
Rupert is not the voice of M&S but his wife, Dervla Kirwan, is.
(BTW I am slightly addicted to Spooks in general and Mr Penry-Jones in particular!) Roll on Tuesday night! x
