Anyone else watch the new version tonight? I was pleasantly surprised, I was kind of expecting not to know any of the music references because I'm old now and don't have a clue who most of the last lot of Brit award winners were, but they seem to be going for an older audience who watched it the first time round and it had a bit of a 90s vibe. I liked Greg Davies as the new host and Daisy May Cooper and Noel Fielding were good team captains. I will definitely be watching again.

I just watched buzzcocks with Bez and Shaun Ryder, I had to turn it off Daisy may has ruined it, I'm gutted as LOVED this country and thought she would bring some funny banter but sadly not. Nothing is that funny! Seriously last few episodes she's banging hand on table screaming laughing! Hamming up for laughs for which there are none.... I'm actually confused?

Yes. And while she's shrieking with laughter you can't actually catch what is being said. I can't see them getting rid of her without being accused of being sexist. Just shut up daisy. You also need some rapport between the team - or not need but it improves any quiz if there is support /banter between team members. That is often lacking - no one knows their team mates.

It’s odd because the show actually has quite a big team of writers - you’d think someone would have given her some decent lines instead of this carry on.

We only managed a couple of episodes, it was shambolic. I think they spent too much of the budget on green room hospitality and not enough on scripting. I know it helps if the participants have had a little livener before they start recording, but DMC must be plied with God knows what to be that 'on'.

Not a DMC fan though and it sounds on here like I might need to wait until they replace her!
