losing the kids, not noticing when they climb up a ma-hoo-sive tree?

Hmmm...
I'm suprised makka pakka hasn't called social services, he seems a bit of of a busybody, what with washing everyones faces and all.

but they do always at least notice when the kids have gone missing, and they count them all back down the chimney.

It's the wattinger children I feel sorry for - their parents never let them out to play

Charlee · 04/12/2007 08:46

Its like...... who names thier kids Um, Ee and OOh?

ShowOfHands · 04/12/2007 08:46

And I thought they were practising AP with all that co-sleeping but get them out of their house and they run amok.

Couple this with Iggle Piggle sneaking into Upsy Daisy's bed when she's not looking and I think the whole damn community needs investigating.

claraquitemassivenow · 04/12/2007 08:46

I just think it's a bit wierd that they all sleep together in that one big bed.

ShowOfHands · 04/12/2007 08:47

They need a new family. The Itchy Pitchforkers.

GooseyLoosey · 04/12/2007 08:47

What about Iggle Piggle? His parents let him play on a boat without supervision and get him to sleep on the floor at night with only a dirty red blanket.

Koshka · 04/12/2007 08:52

true...

I thought I had hallucinated the blue pontypines after a 12hour night shift then looking after DS!

Wattinger...right

Walks off rubbing head....

tortoise - that website is FAB!

ShowOfHands · 04/12/2007 09:37

Oh God, tea all over my laptop.

"Clinically obese Macca Pacca can often be seen using his disability aid to
get around the garden with".

Roffle.

The other reviews are good as well - click on the link 'back to parents guide to kids tv'. I particularly like the balamory review, including the following;

PC Plum

Noticing that one of their new recruits was 'different' to the others,
Strathclyde Police wasted no time in dispatching him as far out of harm's way
as possible. This is a policeman with a difference. He sings and dances and
has the best cheery wave that you'll ever see.

A friend thought that PC Plum and Miss Hoolie stepped out together once the
cameras stopped rolling, but I think that he'd rather be heading to Archie's
for a cuppa, if you know what I mean.

Dangerously inept at his job, he once had local residents believing there was
a crime wave going on, just because he had forgotten to give out so much
lost property.

lenaschildminding · 04/12/2007 12:09

Hasn't Macca Pacca got an OCD?

He is obsessed with cleaning!

MerlinsBeard · 04/12/2007 12:09

have you read the what happened to Josie Jump conspiracy theory?!

Kathyis6incheshigh · 04/12/2007 12:11

That site is great.

I've always thought the class subtext to ITNG was a bit sad - drably coloured Macca Pacca lives underground and has to go around scrubbing the stones. Then when they ride on the Ninky Nonk, Upsy Daisy and Iggle Piggle have a first class carriage with curtains while everyone else travels in standard.

ROFL@ 'Local land-owning toff, Archie is the Lord of the Manor. Lives in a big pink
castle. The episode featuring him heavily, where he burned the rest of the
village, turned it into farmland and sent the cast to work in the mills in the
Central Belt was axed. '

Raahh · 04/12/2007 16:47

please explain how Mr and Mrs Pontypine had 8 children ,when they sleep head to head??

Kathyis6incheshigh · 04/12/2007 16:53

Er, maybe Pontypines have litters and they had them all in one go?

LoveAngelGabriel · 04/12/2007 16:57

Do the Tombliboos every say anything other than 'Tomliboo! Tomliboo!'? (with a bit of random giggling).

Don't they know that talking about yourself in the third oerson is Craig-Davidly-cringeworthy?

SpawnChorus · 04/12/2007 17:15

Raahh - the mysteries of Pontipine anatomy....Have you never wondered why they wear those hats?

kittock · 04/12/2007 18:02

I'm more worried about the so called "robot" in the wall of Archie's castle. It's so obviously his mother that he's trapped in there. Force feeds her yoghurt to keep up his supply of empty pots for his terrible inventions.

kittock · 04/12/2007 18:06

And as for the terrifying Susie Sweet and her big-faced friend Penny Pocket... anyone seen "The Killing of Sister George"?

Kathyis6incheshigh · 04/12/2007 18:07

ROFL!

Raahh · 04/12/2007 18:28

it's on now- and true to form- the kids are lost down holes near water!!!
