I think that Vera is the only person Joan has ever 'loved'.

I think Allie worked it out and she stabbed her pretending Allie stole the money

Ahhh, they could have run another few serieses from that ending! I'm absolutely gutted too, like all of you. So sad that it has totally ended :(

Joan though...she really did have some compassion after all. I said on here earlier that I thought she loved vera - in fact, she possibly was the only person she'd ever felt an emotional connection to.

Very satisfied with that.

Omg the credits and the original theme song. I will miss this programme.

I read on Twitter they may have a spin off show, that would be ace. 'What Joan did next?'

I loved the 'fanny kick' in the fight between LK and Rita 🤣

The final credits, absolute gold! Don't even get me started on the music!

When I saw this final episode was titled 'Legacy' I did wonder if that would be lining things up for a possible spin off in future, I really hope so. I appreciate it may not have any of the regulars we are used to but I'm always open to something new!

@MyBeloved I think Vera was the closest thing Joan ever had to a friend (thinking back when they used to work together) plus I think Joan had realised how much her own childhood had affected her so couldn't have Grace growing up without a mother on her conscience.

Loved that Lou Kelly and that shithead Judy got their just desserts.

I can't believe it's over!

I’m a sucker for behind the scenes clips when it’s the end of a series! And to hear a version of the old them tune again was perfect! I will miss this show it was funny, violent but so touching and well acted.
Love that Juice made an appearance at the end I loved her

Loved it! The music at the end and the out takes of all the characters over the seasons! Really satisfying finale, excitement, loss, retribution, redemption and hope for the future.

I agree that Joan had a kind of obsessive misguided love for Vera, like she wanted to be her best friend/mother figure/mentor but was not capable. It sort of linked back to her back story of Jana (?). The details are a bit hazy but I think Jana's son turned up in one season and Joan tried to be an "aunt" to him but it didn't work out. Then in this final one we had a bit more back story about Joan's own mother.
