@Jellybaby4

What is it with the faye hate? In my opinion faye and Teddy are the most real couple in there. Yes she's loud and very opinionated, and damn rude sometimes, but you know what, she's 100% real and tells everyone how it is. Teddy and faye are so into eachother it is ridiculous. I just wish they had more feddy fans and could win the show, instead of people like you guys, sending all the hate vibes, really nasty, nobody deserves that.

She's not real... she's bitter twisted and plain nasty ...

thankfully she'll be out next week and the reality of how she is viewed will be plain to see ..

Domestic Abuse Charities will be ready to advise anyone living with an abuser like this to contact them ..

BungleandGeorge · 19/08/2021 23:57

It’s all a question of comparability isn’t it? Being a bit messy doesn’t worry me, it’s not the same as personal hygiene for me. ultra tidy people where you’re scared to sit down in case you ruffle the sofa cushions make me very uncomfortable!
Good for Liberty, I think a lot of men dress these frequent little put downs as ‘banter’ but actually it’s often about control

QueenofDestruction · 20/08/2021 00:13

Being abusive, being aggressive, shouting at people and generally acting like Faye is only real if you think behaviour like that is normal, which is not the case in my world.

Jake didn't like the photo he took as he wasn't looking so didn't want to post it presumably? Liberty probably thought she looked good so said keep it or something and he said (jokingly I think). It's all about you ie as long as you think you look ok.

She totally relayed that differently to Faye. She just said he had told her "it's all about you".

The messy comment was a joke too as he couldn't find his stuff.

Not sure about the red lipstick and clothes though?

AndTheReasonIsYou · 20/08/2021 00:46

To be fair that villa is an absolutely shit tip. They’re all messy. I’d have the ick too.

MrsPumpkinSeed · 20/08/2021 01:17

Of course they are... All they are worried about is what they look like. Chloe saw a bracelet last week and was too lazy to pick it up.

But he did say several times, in a horribly patronising way "it's all about you" or something along those lines. She hasn't made that up.
QueenBee52 · 20/08/2021 01:28

Jake caved pretty easily huh 🤔

oh my crivens..

so the preview - are they engaged ? leaving the Villa together ? split permanently ?

😱😳🤔👀🔴

Toomuchtooyoung01 · 20/08/2021 03:11

Apparently Liberty is wearing the bracelet in the clip where they return from their date and make an announcement to the others so I think they are back together

fourminutestosavetheworld · 20/08/2021 03:13

I've no idea whether Jake was faking or not. Previous contestants have been accused of similar and then lasted on the outside.

I think it's entirely possible that Jake likes her at the perfectly normal level you'd expect for being just a few weeks in to a relationship but has been forced to accelerate things, or exaggerate how he feels, because that's the expectation on this programme and what viewers expect.

It's a shame they can't allow all of their relationships to develop honestly and naturally. I think it would be quite refreshing for one of them to admit that 'he's quite nice, I think I like him and it could last but it's early days so let's just see what happens and whether we're compatible' without rushing into insincere feelings, declarations of love and so on. Ultimately, the best actors stay in.

This year, the finalists are all I think with their original choices. It seems deciding someone is not for you is very unpopular with viewers. We expect people to make their choice within days and stay loyal throughout.

CellophaneFlower · 20/08/2021 03:40

I totally went off Jake after him egging on the boys in Casa. However, I do think now people have decided he's a game player there's absolutely nothing he can do that's deemed correct anymore.

The messy ick comment was clearly a joke. The "all about you" thing was also banter. I think he reacted strangely with the selfie situation as he was a bit weirded out how Liberty got all intense about him not feeling good about himself, when really it wasn't that deep - he just didn't like the way he looked in those pictures. The red lipstick and heels comment we can't speculate about as we never saw it, so for all we know it was light hearted and Liberty has taken it to heart.

Jake has always been full of banter. Liberty was fine with this originally, but since it's become apparent the public don't like Jake and the girls have made comments, she's clearly become paranoid and began to question things.

I don't think they're well suited as Liberty is always going to need extra reassurance and Jake has no idea she doesn't understand when he's joking. Neither of them should have to change - they just need to find people more on their own levels.

Also find it mad that a few have stuck the knife in Liam and Millie for commenting Liberty takes things to heart. They're actually in the villa, so get a more balanced view of the dynamics. Always found Millie to be really level headed and supportive and not bitchy in the slightest.

I think most people would need extra reassurance if they discovered the person they were in a relationship with had told their friends they didn't fancy you....

This was exactly Kyler's date though. No rush to even be boyfriend and girlfriend. I know people hate Kaz and can't get over the Matthew thing but I honestly think Kyler are the most realistic couple.

Window1 · 20/08/2021 07:19

So you think he is calling it a mutual decision because he didn't argue the case for them staying together and working through it, he agreed with her suggestions no questions asked.

For Liberty that has to be the stamp of approval for all the things she has been thinking and saying.

Yeah exactly, weird a lot of people seem to have missed that!

Yes and the immediate aftermath of that should not involve "banter" about getting the ice and it being all about you, you, you.

I think he called it mutual because he pushed her to break up with him because he wasn't into it and made that apparent to her. A lot of cowardly men do this I think.

NotJustACigar · 20/08/2021 07:33

Ick

happilybemused · 20/08/2021 07:47

I can't help but feel Jake will make some sort of grand gesture tonight as a way of getting back together with Liberty.

I hope I'm wrong but I suspect talk of a commitment such as marriage/ engagement may be on the cards

Frazzledazzles · 20/08/2021 07:48

I think he had every intention of staying with her, both and outside the villa, while he wore her down with his constant little digs disguised as ‘banter’ and his irritated moods that she would have to side step around.

Because he is a little narcissist who needs to make sure she loses some of her confidence so that he feels more important and “better than” her.

If that is what he’s been like with a camera watching, can you imagine what he’d be like behind closed doors?

And I think he’d be like that with any woman he was with, nothing to do with not being compatible, or red lipstick and heels, just based on the fact that Jake doesn’t really like himself, and doesn’t like women either.

fourminutestosavetheworld · 20/08/2021 07:50

Millie and Liam seem to be getting some criticism now for that very brief conversation that they had between themselves, where they said that Liberty did sometimes take things to heart.

I can't imagine being in an environment where you can't really relax, be yourself or have a genuine opinion for so many weeks. I know it's what they sign up to but the viewers are so incredibly critical. Twitter has decided that Jake is awful and anything that doesn't fit that narrative is jumped on. I sometimes wonder whether people realise that they are only seeing six hours of footage per week. The other 162 hours per week are closed to us.

Polkabott · 20/08/2021 07:51

I hope liberty doesn't take him back, I think what she said about the situation was spot on. Banter (eurgh hate that word) is fine, but usually there's also affection and compliments as well, if someone is just being negative and claiming its just a laugh it's boring and upsetting. She's only 21 as well, away from family and friends with the pressure of being recorded for TV all the time; it's bound to heighten emotions and make the lack of support even worse. I don't know about jake, I think he maybe got swept up in the show and should have been honest with her, but meh.

I really like millie, but for me her and Liam are a bit boring, but then again we only see select stuff.

I want kaz and Tyler to win, I think their chat on their date was the most real, and it's the small things he does for her that are so sweet, I wish they got more screentime.

Chloe and Toby have peaked I think, they're the funniest couple and seem to somehow work, although wouldn't have placed them together at the start at all!

I'm not a fan of faye have to say, and Teddy seems more negative and confrontational than he did, perhaps they are a good match.

JenniferAllisonPhillipaSue · 20/08/2021 07:54

If Jiberty have just 'split up', why would LI send them on a final date? Why would they go? Surely they'd just say "no thanks, we've split, we know our chances of winning are now zero and this is probably against contract, but please don't put us into that awkward situation".

Boshmama · 20/08/2021 08:00

Jake has been playing Lib since day one. Faye and Chloe clocked it and we’re good enough friends to tell Lib. Liberty needs to listen to her gut, he isn’t into her and she deserves better.

I think Faye is brilliant, yes, she could shout less, but not everyone is perfect and I’d argue she only loses it when she genuinely feels hurt. Could she communicate this better? Yes! But shouting doesn’t make you the devil and isn’t (on its own) domestic abuse!

Teddy clearly loves her - that scene when he came back from casa and she started tearing up and he put his arm round her and gave her a kiss on the forehead, you could see how much they love each other. Or on the terrace when he said ‘an I just supposed to let you go?’ They are mad about each other.

Fayes also been there for her friends and proven her loyalty to them which is more than can be said for the other girls.

The scripted dates are cringe and the petal pool looked awful, but that’s not fayes fault!
Feddy for the win!

butterpuffed · 20/08/2021 08:07

I'm beginning to think it's all staged, every little bit . When they 'woke up' yesterday [or day before, can't remember] they all had their microphones on. Well, they don't sleep with them on, so must've already woken, then been told to pretend they were asleep and wake up again.
