These are my favourites. Also loved Breaking Bad, Homeland, Suits.

What else can I watch? I was gutted Time only had three episodes!

The Bridge is in a class of it's own.

Algebraicyourleg · 11/07/2021 19:00

Scorpion on Netflix

60schild · 11/07/2021 19:12

Accused on Prime. Stand alone episodes by Jimmy McGovern. Some of them have really stayed with me.

Demelza82 · 11/07/2021 22:17

The Good Fight on Amazon Prime (spinoff from The Good Wife but you don't need to have seen that) currently obsessed

AbsolutelyPatsy · 12/07/2021 09:08

serpent was excellent

Sharp Objects, the series. Adaptation of a Gillian Flynn book with Amy Adams, who I am actually in love with.

And I've said it many times before but I'll say it again: Six Feet Under. Sublime.

FlatteredFool · 13/07/2021 19:49

Broadchurch. I didn't realise it had 3 series and am now part way through the second. I love Olivia Coleman. In fact I think I have a girl crush.

YellowBellyCat · 13/07/2021 19:52

Cardinal. Detective series set in Canada.

Top of the lake on Netflix

The Night Of - the US HBO version - is excellent and Time reminded me of it in lots of ways.

Hels20 · 13/07/2021 21:18

I second Cardinal - not always mentioned on these threads. Was on iPlayer. Mare of Easttown is brilliant (was on Sky/Now).

Prime Suspect still is excellent. A bit dated but Helen Mirren is so good.

Apple Tree Yard and Fearless are good (both on BritBox). Band of Gold is also good (also on BritBox).

I loved Spooks - missed it first time; binged it during Lockdown 1.

Yes, I agree. The army episode in particular has stayed with me.

Seven Seconds on Netflix is really good. It’s a US cop crime drama with Regina King. I don’t know anyone else who has seen it, but it’s excellent.

River
Scott & Bailey

Mare of Easttown is amazing - just finished it. Waking the dead is great though possibly a little dated now.

TokyoSushi · 14/07/2021 21:53

Definitely Mare of Easttown, I absolutely loved it. One of those that you wish you hadn't seen so that you could watch it again.
