Would you recommend Britbox?

We have Netflix and Amazon for my daughter's but for me, I find hardly anything worth watching on them.
Do you have Britbox and would you recommend it?

I like DCI banks and scott and Bailey.. got 30 days free so binge watching them!

Ten series of Vera, four episodes in each series, 1.5 hours each episode when you see it without adverts, which is one of the big plus points of BritBox for me. I prefer the early series. It seems to have got more formulaic as it's gone on, as so commonly happens. Still very enjoyable, though.

Apparently there is a series 11 on the way, to go out on ITV at some point this year or early next. As a very late convert, I can't wait!

It's good for short term at least, not so much an ongoing basis.

I cancelled Netflix because it's just a glorified porn channel. Britbox being older shows, it's at least less degenerate.

Agree that the app is pretty clunky. Really poor search engine.
I've had my moneys worth though, watched apple tree yard, too close, jewel in the crown, broadchurch, unforgotten, shetland, the fall, line of duty. A lot of it is on iplayer now due to lockdown but not the whole series.

The app is a clunky bugger and subtitled content is hit and miss. Overall I like it but having watched series 1 to 4 of Scott And Bailey, there are only 3 episodes of S5 on there. Where on earth are the rest?

Yes. I love it. I don’t bother with Netflix or Amazon but I do love Britbox

I’m currently working my way through Prime Suspect after watching Brideshead Revisited.
