I loved Serena's MTM - I would love to wear that. All the others were a bit ho hum, but Rafe's was well sewn and fitted the model, at least. Definitely right that Farie left.

There have been a few fabric purchasing mishaps haven't there? Serena's was far thinner one week.

Farie was lovely, great contestant. It's very close between Serena and Raph.

Omg that red coat is stunning. Back when I had a tiny waist and was a few stone lighter, I used to wear a lot of vintage dresses that shape. Used to buy them before vintage became fashionable again and prices went up.

I’m sad for Farie has well. She had really lovely ideas that she didn’t have the time to execute.

Serenas jacket was fantastic. I loved the fabric Rafe used to bring his choice up to date. Both were 40s inspired but wearable now. Rebeccas silhouette was nice enough but I don’t she’s got the innate sense of style that the other two finalists have.

I started a pair of woollen trousers today and was musing that they hadn’t had men’s trousers on the Sewing Bee.
I was struggling with the fly earlier as they are very counter- intuitive!
Anyway the flies are done and tomorrow I will do the pockets, side seams and maybe get the waistband on. These trousers also have belt carriers that are my nemesis! I can never get them smooth enough for me to be happy.
The fabric is locally woven wool from our local sheep and it is quite sturdy!

Sad for Farie - some of her things were lovely. Time was not her friend in this.

Oh Farie. I actually think she's the best if she wasn't under time pressure.

Not sure anything made from this material would suit humid weather.

My DS thinks they should make underwear. You probably won't be seeing him on the Sewing Bee anytime soon.

A bra would be a really good pattern challenge, mind!

Unfortunately he didn't mean that. He explained future that if he was on the programme, he'd have made underpants, a cloak and a hat. Apparently that's what the winning outfit would be.

It's quite concerning.

Yes, they had a bra as a pattern challenge. It was quite fiddly I seem to remember!
