Why do Rebecca's parents have a completely empty shelf unit behind them?

Exactly what I was thinking. It should be full of China and nick nacks.

I absolutely loathe sewing bound button holes.

Miniscule flanges! I want to see Carry On Adam saying that.

Empty storage furniture gives me the sads and the creeps. It's like it is waiting for a purpose.

I think I'd do a very light interfacing on that silk fabric. Or do my usual trick of zig saying every edge before seeing anything.

I'm also surprised they didn't half do the button holes before attaching the top and lining so the flanges are between the layers.

Rebecca's fabric was a good choice but she has tended towards odd colour choices I think. But old fashioned imo.

I think Rebecca is naturally shy and not very confident.
