Our Girl Thread 60 "Our Girl, Soldier Soldier and The Musketeers Revisited"

We started to follow "Our Girl" back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We are about to finish the final series of "Soldier Soldier" and will be starting on the first series of "The Musketeers". Of course, there is a definite connection between "Our Girl" and "The Musketeers" in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino.

Exactly - thing back so when we first meet Athos ... the whole series is a horse opera in 17th century France.
And the dialogue in places is straight out of Butch Cassidy - as is the posse!

The part splits up, but Aramis and Athos head for the convent with the queen. I sense a siege situation.

I just love all the different accents! Mother Superior is Irish. I wonder how she made it across to France in those days?

So D’Art and Porthos go to Paris for three and four pence.

The Mother Superior invites Queenie in. Now there is a white flat. What do they want?

I love Athos’ opener.

Meanwhile D'Art and Porthos ambush the pursuing men.

I love D'Art's one liners. It's Elvis through and through!

eejit somone says that in "A Bridge too Far" when the meet the germans on the bridge and they are hopelessing outnumbered.

The nun knows his name - that gets his notice.

He tastes the brandy and guess what - it tastes exactly the same as the recipe he remembers.

Oh so who is this nun then who knows Aramis?

So, the Cardinal is trying to fulfil the King's wishes for his own political ends and any alleginace it might bring.

The cardinal pretends to be horrified.

What a machiavellian character the Cardinal is.

The nuns use the power of prayer whilst Aramis and Athos use firepower.

Now the nuns are cross. Can't see Nonatus house doing this.

Gallagher leads from the back and now they retreat.

Meanwhile back in Paris, they try to find out who ordered the attack. Just hanging about it seems.

The beehives is a low truck.

Back in Paris, the moneylender has come to a grisly end by the looks of things. D'Art smells jasmine and is very suspicious.
