Aside from will Steve's mate have survived, what does anyone think might come next for the AC-12 team?

I definitely think the missing £50k will bite them back in the bum in the next season. Realistically that could be the end of AC12 & Ted, the others may get in trouble for not reporting it

I want Ted Hastings to become an Emeritus Superintendent and set up a kind of Hogwarts School for AC-12 sleuthing.

I think the £50k storyline has been and gone. There will be another interview with Jo is my guess. I think there is the likelihood she doesn't know about her parents' incest, but will find out during the questioning.

Yep - it's a possibility. Anything is tbh. I feel we've had heightened tension and something really big is now going to happen.

I really don't want another series. Two episodes is enough time to tie up all the loose ends. Then 10 minutes to celebrate Ted's retirement, Steve's moving on and Kate's promotion. End of.

Lots of talk at work about whether it's Kate or Ryan who gets shot, I've remembered though that there was a pre series trailer, the one where Hastings says you will be protected with full protection of the law, or something like that. I'm fairly certain that scene hasn't happened. I am beginning to feel that Kate is bent, I hope not, as it would completely alter the whole show.

I think it's seven, so two to go.

There are a lot of loose ends still, which took up so much time in the first couple of episodes it will be a bit annoying if they just get left hanging. Things like Terry Boyle and his past history of photographing comings and goings and the £50k for example.

She's done Royal Weddings, The Olympics, General Elections, Covid Pandemic etc.

I’ve loved LOD, though I’ve said I was very “meh” at season 5. Was relieved to get my mojo back with this season.

Over the last 2 weeks I’ve gone right back to the start. My memory is shocking, so it was good to remind myself of lots of characters and small pointers.

Season 5 was SO much better on the second viewing, I’ve kind of surprised myself by changing my mind on my “meh” verdict!

I agree with others that things can probably be tied up this season, meaning it could be the end. But my brain won’t let go of one of the rolling banners on the Gail news broadcast from the Easter egg hunt.

Something like “physicists hail new equation (Hx6)=?.xyz”

We’ve got 2 episodes to go. I’d like to think that the next episode will start focus on the result of the gun stand off and also shed light on the Jo situation one way or another.

The final episode will pull everything together re Gail’s murder and the reason for it. This will include a Ryan (having survived with gun injuries) giving some, but not all, info on the OCG. Which leads to the identity of the 4th “H”. But also leads into the possibility of 2 more (given the equation above).

I know I’m clutching at straws here - I just don’t want it to be the final season!

@TracyBeakerSoYeah I’ve NC’d as I’m sure I know people on here (but I swear I’m not bent ma’am - Pom Bears, Sistine Chapel, cutted up pear etc). I did this last week before DS demanded his toys back.
