Happened across this, a bit dragged out but good grief it probably is representative of how many (not all!) people, in "the West" at least, have so much unnecessary stuff. No judgement meant to the people involved but it raises many questions about the economic system that seems to prevail now whereby it's no longer possible that a family unit can thrive on one income.

I enjoyed it. I would love to take the contents of my house to a warehouse and sort through it.

There was another thread about this show , but I can't find it now!
I much prefer the cleaning / horder type shows myself but as a idea it was well presented and I agree that I was amazed at how much stuff they had. 18 pairs of swimming goggles or something? It did seem a bit excessive.
I also think some parents just want their children to have the life and the things they didn't have themselves and go a bit crazy with the books and toys.
Plus some people really struggle to part with things.
