Did anyone watch this?
That man saying he's sad about his Tiger dying but he kept referring to the tiger as 'it' not her or she 😕

And the man training all those wild animals for Tele! 😮
Didn't know that was possible

Watched the second episode this evening. Now feel even more depressed! How the hell is it ok for that guy to have snakes kept like that?

I’m a huge cat (and dog) lover, and the whole breeding/selling of Savannah F1/how many numbers down has concerned me for a while now.

Crocodile man was kind of nuts! I think the whole “eco” thing of byproduct disposal was an excuse for him to indulge in what he wants to keep.

Judging by the map they showed a couple of times, it looks like someone in Wales privately owns an elephant!

Found it quite disturbing the lists/contacts between potential owners and zoos around the world/animal brokers. I’m going to be looking into how to push back on this. If a species is going to be in danger of extinction, the answer is not to keep them in your grounds in the UK. They either survive where they belong, or we take responsibility that our actions have wiped them out.

I’m kind of hoping that one of the snakes wraps around him permanently as pay back for their bloody awful existence.

icelollycraving · 08/04/2021 08:59

@Furries I saw that about the elephant. My sister lives in that area so I think that stood out to me. Madness.

IHaveBrilloHair · 08/04/2021 14:56

Taking the animals out of it just for a second, Ross Kemps face is hilarious, he's clearly terrified, as I would be!

WhatsTheEffingPoint · 08/04/2021 21:22

All of them were just so blinded by their own 'love/need/obsession' for the animals that it's almost a mental health issue, they just couldn't see beyond their own needs for keeping that animal.

Ok most people have a domestic pet in which we do the best we can for but we don't have snakes in storage boxes or lions in reinforced stables.

It's just so bizarre how easily they can get hold of the animals.

The crocodile farm guy - I live quite near there: fascinating place to visit and the food is great. But yes he does come across as having a screw loose. Was not happy about those baby crocodiles he had.

They didn't limit the people who visited the farm last year so hundreds of people were turning up to visit. Local villagers were pissed off.

Bizarre family

RevolvingPivot · 09/04/2021 18:27

What about the couple who bought a bloody zoo and didn't know how to look after the animals. I didn't follow the story properly did they manage to revoke the lions?

moita · 09/04/2021 21:00

@RevolvingPivot they didn't say what happened to them: the whole thing was unbelievable AND they had 7 children...what on earth possessed them to do it?!

RevolvingPivot · 10/04/2021 00:26

Thanks. I obviously meant to put "rehome"

salsmum · 11/04/2021 05:12

My DS and his family have visited the scrap dealers zoo and said the enclosures etc are really big and it's well maintained ( the zoo in Horncastle lincs)

Has anyone seen a photo of his tiger when it was stuffed? I wonder where he would put that.
RevolvingPivot · 11/04/2021 10:57

This is a photo of him. Wow beautiful!!

I found it really disturbing and actually couldn't believe it's legal in this country to own the pets. I'd actually rather they went extinct that live in such awful conditions. Found it really sad

Hothead2020 · 13/04/2021 22:06

I live near the elephant in Wales it’s owned by monks who run a hospice

Littlepaws18 · 13/04/2021 22:13

They don't love their animals as much as they love themselves. Lion guy show jumper for example, he spends £400 per month on food plus £1000 on vets bills per month. Save that up, place the lions in a wildlife sanctuary in Africa and visit them every other month! The lions would be far better off in a sanctuary where they have hundreds of miles to roam and food given to them.

Or alternatively, save that money up and three times a year go and see animals in the wild. I've seen 6 out of the 14 species of penguin in the wild- it's absolutely out of this world! The experience, and not a cafe in sight.

If they really loved their animals they would give them the best possible life- and what they are providing small hand build enclosures, stupid trucks, no professional experience is not a best possible life.

Littlepaws18 · 13/04/2021 22:15

Cage not Cafe lol but there weren't many of those in Antarctica!!!!

Furries · 14/04/2021 01:18

@Littlepaws18 - I didn’t even query the cafe comment, I just thought great, it’s not overly commercialised where you’ve been! Obviously no cages is even better.
