What a brilliant programme.

Julie (?) visiting 20 odd locations to track down Peanut... who would not get involved. The frustration those cops must feel!

How those cops keep going in the face of all that danger and shit is beyond me. They must be made of steel.

I can't imagine how you could ever feel safe as an investigating officer and live a normal carefree life. Are they always looking over their shoulders ?
The victim's dad who said his son was no angel Confused when actually he's a ruthless violent drug dealer...all of them seemed obsessed with looking tough, body building, weights at the gym, lots of toxic male insecurity coupled with possible steroid use, who knows ......

Cocolapew · 31/03/2021 11:31

DH was saying they were brave/stupid going on camera but its not as if the gangs don't know who they are anyway, they arrest and interview them.
Money wouldn't pay me, I'd be a nervous wreck.

Hels20 · 31/03/2021 12:07

I googled Wade Cox - no real info from the case so I imagine he has invoked his data protection rights and got them to remove all reports from case. 36 years though. What a way to live a life. Comparing these criminals with the guy on 24 hours in Police Custody who was done for attempted murder - more hopeful that latter might be changed but he got 22 years...

RubyFakeLips · 31/03/2021 18:02

Bet they've all got kids they're leaving behind too.

Gripping viewing but you have to wonder who is at the top? Even the people being described as leaders didn't seem to have the trappings of wealth. None of them were living like Tony Soprano.

Cocolapew · 31/03/2021 18:10

It's never ending, for every one person getting jailed or killed there's probably 3 more waiting in the wings to take their place.

Laaaaa · 31/03/2021 19:12

I wonder why there would be no information on Wade cox in public domain, surely public Intrest for it to be out there

SchadenfreudePersonified · 31/03/2021 20:59

Just found this recommended on another thread, and am watching it now. It's terrifying the degree of violence so casually employed at the drop of a hat.

SueSaid · 01/04/2021 16:42

@ilsb

It was cringy watching the solicitor behaving like some love-struck teenager
Yes she was smirking all the way through. Seemed to have the hots for Paris Confused

'I was making comments about thier rookie mistakes'

I know! in the second episode it was as if they had no clue about cctv, the clip where one of them had his mobile phone returned in plain site, why not at least try and be a bit furtive, maybe put it in a bag or something?! Awful crime to shoot a defenceless bloke just sat in his car even though he was probably just as bad. You can't help thinking if it had been done under the cover of darkness and burner phones used they may have had a chance of getting away with it. They need to watch LOD for some tips.

margotleadbeter · 01/04/2021 16:45

I think Julie Connor is incredibly brave. Even with all these OCG members locked up their associates may well hold a grudge and track her down.

SueSaid · 01/04/2021 16:57

Yes they are all so professional and calm. No dramas, just doing their jobs.
As a pp said would be interesting to know who are senior in the ocg. These scrotes who don't seem overly bright can't be the masterminds.

RubyFakeLips · 01/04/2021 17:35

Did it show the solicitor's name? I googled Paris Bostock and this story. The news says he was in a relationship with a Tammy O'Sullivan, 41, form Leeds who was then convicted of assisting him and due to be sentenced at a later date.

Wonder if this is the solicitor, think he's mid twenties so he seems to like slightly older women!

Interesting if it was but I'd say this solicitor looked late twenties/early thirties

@margotleadbeter - that’s a very good point. Thought Julie was amazing. But hadn’t considered her bravery. A v brave woman.

My experience with very close family and friends who are cops and working in a very closely aligned role with police that they do tend to shrug off the 'I'll find out where you live/firebomb your house/rape your missus' comments as they are hardly ever carried out or attempted but some police officers must be at greater risk and Julie feels like one of them

FizzyTarte · 06/04/2021 23:05

What happened to this week's episode? ..

MyHouse2011 · 07/04/2021 19:38

I’ve been looking for it too. Wonder what happened?
HaudYerWheestFella · 07/04/2021 19:45

The remaining three episodes are scheduled for May from what I read online

MyHouse2011 · 07/04/2021 21:38

Thanks @HaudYerWheestFella

Strange to have such a break isn’t it?

Cherrypie32 · 08/04/2021 20:43
