Taskmaster Series 11

Did anyone watch this last night? I'm so glad it's back. We've been watching the old ones practically every day recently with the kids in anticipation of this new series. It's still odd and flat in the studio with no audience there and the big gaps between everyone, but the tasks themselves are golden.
I think Mike Wozniak is going to emerge as the star of this series. The combo of his 'nature is weird' song, his balalaika playing of the theme tune and the super cautious plates on a hoverboard task absolutely sold him to me.

I loved Sarah cracking the system and then still not being able to remember what to do. That was one of Little Alex Horne's more sadistic moments.

I am still having flashbacks of Lee Mack snogging the table.
On a par with Daisy May Cooper eating watermelon.

I loved the flight attendant task, I was in fits watching Mike- I think parts of it were actually in German!

Haha, yes, of course Mike would know the German for moustache!

I love all of them in this series. have a bit of a crush on Mike and Lee.

I don't normally listen to podcasts but will have hunt down Mike Wozniak.

Saw there's a new BBC comedy coming soon with Greg Davies

I think this series has worked better than the last. You still lose something not having the studio audience and the contestants physically distanced, but I've also laughed myself sick so many times. The last one never really caught fire, but they've got intercontestant banter working well this time.

I feel sorry for Charlotte. Greg is really doing his sadistic-therapist thing on her.

Sarah's hair is unreasonably fabulous.

Also, I'm still looking forward to the day when I can tell someone, "You've got no chutzpah, and your organizational skills are lacklustre".

Apparently Sarah said on the TM podcast that all the chat about her on Twitter is about her hair. (Which is probably very frustrating for a comedian).

Whoever is doing that blowout is a genuine genius though. I was watching it bouncing in the standing-on-one-leg task, mesmerised.

Also, do we reckon that Charlotte's agent and CBeebies are already in talks?

Charlotte was on the last Taskmaster podcast that I listened to (I am a couple of weeks behind)

Also a slice of fried gold: falling off the stage being "doing a Knappett".

I think it was "if your fish falls off the knappett" - that catwalk bit of the stage is known as 'the knappett' now.

Genius, anyway. That episode with Jess (and Greg going "Shit!" and leaping out of his seat when she fell) is one of my favourite TM moments.

It's series final day! I feel a whole mix of things: excited to see who wins, sad that there'll be no more Hot! Wozniak! Action! on my telly every week (still got his podcasts to enjoy, but it's not the same) and nervous to see how the big reveal that Sunday Brunch spoiled last weekend goes down. (BTW, do not Google what that was if you don't want to be spoiled – I stumbled across it online on Sunday and wish I hadn't)

I wonder if they'll announce the series 12 cast at the end of tonight's episode? I believe series 12 has been filmed (tasks and studio stuff) and the cinema audience are getting to watch it this week, the lucky things!

A late comer to this thread.. but just wanted to join ahead of tonight's finale.

This has been one of my favourite series of Taskmaster, really enjoyed it. I can't decide who I want to win, but probably between Mike and Jamali.

I've really enjoyed this series, I think it's the best one so far. I really like all the contestants, and it's genuinely been a great distraction!
Love Mike, but also love Jamali. Plus Charlotte, Sarah and Lee! Oh, and Greg and Alex too!

I think this has probably been my favourite series - I was looking forward to these contestants anyway but was a little unsure after the first episode, but it's been brilliant, I love them all!

Can't believe how quick they are with filming these - wasn't aware they had already filmed the new series?! I had always thought the current series was filmed after lockdown but it sounds like some of it was filmed pre-COVID!

Sad this series is ending but looking forward to rewatching them!
