Not sure I can be bothered with this series. Agree the Tally stuff is silly. Also why aren''t there any older participants apart from pretend ones. I don't understand why they spend so much time trying to identify catfish. That isn't the aim of the game.

I'd feel really sorry for Tally if she was blocked over this. It's one thing to leave because of a fair rating but not because of a 'twist' that seems to go against the ethos of the competition.

I'd feel sorry for us too as she seems a more interesting character than Yolanda (not nicer or better, just more interesting to watch). One thing that amazes me about her is that she is clearly a talented artist but that's not a side of her that she seems to find important since she doesn't mention it in her profile. If I could draw like that I'd want to boast about it 24/7.

Where have you seen Tally's art?

In answer to some of the questions, Alex from series 1 has done some YouTube videos revealing some of the secrets.
He said that they leave a shopping list out and when they are in the gym or on the roof, the supplies are left for them.
Also, the flats are soundproofed and spread out through the block.

I think there's too many "wannabes" this season. The girl who was penny has tiktok following. Hashu is a "content creator" and makes a living making silly YouTube videos. Tally & Manrika seem to be in to raise their profile. Hunter is trying to revise his career hence "I'll give £50k to nurses." Even Vithun is in there to get famous for being the first Asian to win and wasn't happy about manrika being there.
And I agree that their conversations are dull, dull, dull. When Andy said he'd had an interesting career no one asked him what this meant...there's lots of examples where if someone in real life said it, it'd open door to real conversations but here it's ignored..also think there's more production interference than it seems. When they go to decide who to block its always dragged out, orange Tally could have declined blue Tally chat but didn't...think that's all production telling them what to do.

If I was the person who got visited by Yolanda, and I wasn't Tally. I think I'd tell the group it was the the real Tally who left.

Agreed. I actually had to temporarily mute the show last night because the two of them were screaming so much over the votes.

It's one of the differences between the US and UK shows I noticed - US contestants still reacted when something happened, like an alert popping up, but there was a lot less over-reaction and loud screeching.

Some of the conversations seem very contrived - like Andy mentioning his bowel followed by Syed not commenting on that at all but writing about having experienced racism. Even had Penny been real, a response ignoring both of those things but instead bringing up something bad she'd experienced would have seemed insensitive or fake.

Also things like Andy obviously being told to type 'the person getting blocked is...' to drag it out and create fake tension. I'm sure they didn't do that sort of thing in season 1 and it's irritating.

I did love the first series remember the older guy I forget his name but he was amazing. I also liked the American series which is on Netflix. I wish the real syed had gone in although I like the fake one too

Its definitely getting less "real" the more series there are.

Tim from series 2 has a great Instagram account. Mainly pictures of his cats or his drawings. He was great.

Ahh Tim from series 2 I don't think anyone can beat him or Woody or that entire series to be honest.

The trouble with these reality shows is that as they go on the contestants get wiser as to how to play the game and the producers try to add more elaborate and ridiculous twists to keep the players on their toes. As it gets popular it's less about being an interesting social experiment and more a vehicle for a bunch of very similar types of people to raise their profile. It's a shame but it's kind of inevitabile. I'm still finding it entertaining though!

In the first series I'm sure Sian at one point heard Freddie screaming so the soundproofing is not that great. He was VERY loud though!

Wonder when this was filmed because there was no social distancing between hashu, mollie and her dad which makes me think it was filmed a while ago...but then is the eventual winner chosen by the public or the other players?

I just realised that they don't do those studio interviews with Emma anymore, which is good.

I imagine they probably got tested and put into isolation before it started and then they all count as a bubble. I don't know but I imagine they won't be able to do any face to face interviews and live shows with Emma perhaps until the very end, but that's not a bad thing, they were pretty tedious.

The winner is chosen by the players and they don't find out how the other players have rated and who has won until they all come out and have their final interview with Emma. In the past viewers have also been able to vote for their favourite who then wins a smaller sum of money. I wonder if they've had that final chat with Emma and revealed the winner yet or whether they'll do this live at the end of the series so viewers get to vote for their favourite too.

They haven't had a woman win it yet either. I thought it was quite funny when Syed didn't do the "poor you" thing to the guys bowels but turned the conversation to him and played competitive victims instead. Given they could all be lying I don't see why they'd give any credence to sex, race, age, job, pets, ailments etc. You shouldn't be voting for the person you feel most sorry for. I think someone should have a fictitious ailment. Also we've had BAME contestants playing white ones but would they allow it the other way round?
