I can see why Yolanda picked Tally to clone from a player perspective- Tally was under the radar and Yolanda probably thought she seemed quite innocuous. As a viewer,
knowing that Tally is playing as herself and is trying to get more confident in her own skin vs the version of herself she feels she has projected online, I feel SO sorry for Tally! Yolanda is staying v cool but I still think it would have been more interesting if they'd let her have some fun catfishing as a true self of one of the other catfish.

I am sure we just get the edited highlights of some of the "ooh I've made a friend" or "girlgang" group chats. It would be a bit much otherwise!

I wonder who will go? It looks like Penny or Billy atm but the show likes to keep us guessing!

I don’t think Yolanda is coming across well either. It was a bit of a dick move to refuse to engage properly in private chat and to keep up the pretence.

Perhaps I'm unusually hard-hearted but I'm finding OG Tally's confusion and fury hilarious. (Remember, she signed up for the show.)

I much prefer Yolanda to Tally. She’s so loud and shouty and over dramatic. I don’t mind the plot twist.

Am going to give it another go based on this thread. I love the circle and think in lockdown I have exhausted all my other programmes!

I guess there must be a different dynamic if two people go in as one made-up character. As jay55 suggested, they're much less desperate for company and opportunities to merge with the rest of the community. So all 'Penny's' actions seem calculated, transactional and insincere, no matter how hard they try.

I'm not impressed with Hashu's mockery of his uncle Syed - but I'm even more outraged at his belief that a man of 63 is 'old'.

I don't think it's mocking Uncle Syed as much as teasing him. All my grandparents have English as a second language and we all do similar impressions of them. From non-relations it might be racist but from family it really feels like a loving acknowledgement of difference. And to someone his age a 63 year old IS old. When I was 25 I thought my dad was old when he died at age 53. Now I'm 61 I know he was very young. Old age and youth are relative terms.

I really like the way he lapses into Uncle Syeds accent when he is dictating and straight back into his own accent when he says 'send'. It shows he is really trying to think and talk the way Syed would. It also reminds me of conversations with my cousins and all of us imitating our grandparents and aunties.

I’m really enjoying the circle. Celebrity circle was my first experience and I was instantly hooked!

That made me laugh to. Fake accent then says send in a brummie accent lol. I didn't like him when he first walked in. I thought he was a bit ott.

@PursuingProxemicExactitude agree, my South Asian dad and uncle's are older than 63 but none of them speak like that. Doing this home with your family is very different going on a national TV show behaving like Apu.

I always find on the Circle though that the people who are themselves come across better than the catfish. Also is the plural catfish or catfishes - don't like the latter!!

They’re so shouty that they must be far apart or have excellent sound d proofing!

DS and I reckon they've got a couple of flats on each floor but at opposite ends.
We wondered who/ how its decided what food they have. Do they pay for it themselves? What if they run out? As a fat person this concerns me a lot.
And when they have the parties can the non contestant residents of the block of flats hear it? Imagine how annoying that would be if you were ill. Or if you wanted to use the gym/ roof top garden but couldn't because C4 were filming.

Thats assuming that the article I read about the flats having a shared gym etc were true.

From watching series two back in 2019.. and really enjoyed it.
Then celebrity circle last week which was short and sweet.
Now this series I'm just maybe getting bored of the format.
I think they best bit is when they meet and greet once they have been blocked.
But it's been meh recently.
Could be we aren't seeing any interesting friendships so far.
Also I don't have any favourites so far.
I don't care its getting a bit like big brother.
I care more that the cast is pretty crap this year.

I was sort of into it.

Manrika's my favourite. But the Tally dichotomy is really putting me off. When it goes to that bit I mute or forward through.

Ps it was funny reading the twitter comments regarding Andy mentioning his lack of bowel to everyone.
It's a weird coucendence that one of the girls from series 2 also had a bowel or crohn's condition.
I liked her.

Real Tally has annoyed me with her total paranoid view. Not spending a second thinking maybe the clone isn't out to get them, just following orders.
I'm glad this part is almost over.
