I'm not enjoying the twist, I don't like that it's impacting someone who is actually their self.

I like Vithum, he also reminds me of the guy off the American version.

Agree I liked the idea of the twist more than the execution. It would have been a lot more fun if she'd chosen a catfish.

Have I seen Millie (?) the girl with her dad) before? She’s so familiar.

@Rollergirl11 google is not giving me anything. I think she must just be a bit generic “20yr old reality show girl” - a little like Molly Mae from Love Island maybe?

Tullyjune yeah I’ve just scouted her IG also and there’s nothing obvious. She does have a Molly-Mae vibe. I was wondering if she could have been on something like Absolutely Ascot. But then that would probs mean she’s a traveller and her Dad doesn’t really look the type!

I'm loving the new series. I really like all the non catfish contestants, particularly Andy, Billy and Vithun.
I hope Yolanda and Gemma/James get caught out. James comes across as quite smug. I don't see Jamie and Millie pulling it off.
Can't wait for the next episode.

I'm already confused with the colours and Tally!

I hope it's not going to be the focus for them all otherwise it might get boring quickly!

The first series (I've just finished watching it) was a lot less manipulated and other than the hangout and games, there was very little interaction from anyone other than the contestants. I think that's what a previous poster meant by 'big brother'

Millie & Dad/Penny doesn’t seem able to read the room that well. I reckon they’ll be the first to go.

Yes, a bit one dimensional, which has been the downfall of previous catfish hasn’t it.
They’ve not made Penny very interesting thus far.

The Penny pair are spending too much time chatting to each other and not making an effort to the circle.

I’ve gone off the twist now. It’s taking up too much time and it’s not fair on the real Tally

I stopped watching after episode one because of the twist. A great programme that doesn't need silly twists. Plus Yolanda was so boring as her OWN husband, how she going to be anyone else? And totally not fair on the person she is pretending to be now. I loved the last series and the celebs version, this is annoying.

Yes I have a feeling that the twist has backfired somewhat and hasn’t panned out how they expected. It seems cruel that it’s someone that is being themselves. And as we saw from last nights episode the other players are having group chats with others and excluding the two Tally’s because they don’t want it to dominate the conversation and end up in an argument. They need to bring this twist to fruition now otherwise I think viewers will switch off.

I like the twist but yes, it needs to end pretty soon.

I like the Syed catfish and Andy.

The Penny couple are dull - I don't know why they chose to catfish as a middle-aged woman when neither of them have a clue about middle-aged women.

Hunter is on dodgy ground cat fishing as a nurse.

I'd feel really sorry for Tally if she was blocked over this. It's one thing to leave because of a fair rating but not because of a 'twist' that seems to go against the ethos of the competition.

I'd feel sorry for us too as she seems a more interesting character than Yolanda (not nicer or better, just more interesting to watch). One thing that amazes me about her is that she is clearly a talented artist but that's not a side of her that she seems to find important since she doesn't mention it in her profile. If I could draw like that I'd want to boast about it 24/7.

I agree the twist has backfired, it would have been great if Yolanda had picked a catfish. I don't understand why she thinks Tally is a catfish. I will be gutted for Tally of if she goes and its so unfair on her that she's not getting the chance to bond and form connections with the other players. I really hope Penny is blocked as she's not really adding much to the show. I have a feeling Andy, Syed and Vithan will go all the way. I personally don't see the problem with James/Hunter he seems to be playing Gemma well and didn't he say if he wins he's going to donate half to the NHS?

I’m not keen on the twist and I’m not sure why the show needs gimmicks. Seems that this happens every time there’s a popular show though. Nobody in TV seems to have heard the phrase “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Found my people! I think a better twist would have been to let Yolanda play as the "real" persona of one of the people playing a catfish. So she could have played as Millie/Jamie, Gladiator James or Hashu.

I think Gladiator James is going to get some real backlash playing as a nurse if he's rumbled (Jennifer in S1 left before that happened or it could have got nasty) and the Penny-Pair seem waaaay too self congratulatory and in love with themselves to be any good at faking it as anyone else. The others have already spotted that she just doesn't sound right. I also hope the twists don't get too big brothery but there are also so many possibilities- just based on how people twist and manipulate their online presence for real- and truth is stranger than fiction! Does anyone think Gemma/James is going to get some questions as to how a nurse got leave for the length of the show in the pandemic?

Is anyone else a bit confused about what the contestants do all day? They've been in there a couple of days now and we saw last night them saying that they haven't all properly spoken to each other yet, and when they do have conversations they send about 5 messages and then one of them signs off. I don't understand why they seem to be spending so little time talking to each other? You'd think they would spend hours each day just chatting when there's nothing else to do!

Yes @MrsToothyBitch that would have been a much better twist! They would know she was a catfish but wouldn't be able to tell anyone as they'd have to say how they know! And yes I didn't think about how Gemma would get the time off, there are going to be some tough questions ahead for him, I hope he's done his homework.

Also I agree that I feel very sorry for Tally and I'm not sure this twist is a good idea. Yolanda isn't coming across very well, I thought she seemed very unsympathetic to Tally when they were talking in private and she was still pretending to be Tally. It's unfair that this is ruining Tally's chance to bond with other contestants and it's no longer a level playing field.

I'm thinking they must edit the conversations to be shorter than they actually are, so really we just see the highlights. They often say things like "wow that was such a great conversation, I've got an alliance there..." after what seems to be a very brief exchange of a couple of messages and I'm like
