I've been watching series 1 on catch up and OMG they are so much worse. I can't believe it got a second series! Freddie is the most irritating, immature and unpleasant person. They all keep falling out with each other. Makes me realise how good the dynamics in series 2 really were.

Series 2 really was a gem ❤️ I watched series 1 after series 2 and almost gave up a few times (mainly because of Freddie tbh) but it’s worth persevering with. I think it’s better than series 3 so far which is just pretty uneventful by comparison, but I’m still hooked!

I remember hating Freddie but not as much as I hated James last year! He definitely made for good telly though.

Anyone seen the snippet of tonight’s episode on Twitter? They’re hinting that Gemma/Hunter is going to reveal her true identity to Andy. Would this be a first? (I haven’t watched series 1) I can’t see what the reason would be for him to do this...unless he reveals he’s doing it for charity and he’s hoping Andy will back him.

Going by the clip, I think Tally goes to see Manrika but it’s not clear. Dot says she hopes she’s a catfish before Tally’s message is shown so she definitely didn’t go to see Dot.

Not sure about these newbies this late in the game. Why are all the women so glamorous/slim/long hair?? Even Felix is!!! I loved Georgia last series, so true to herself and made no apology for being a bigger girl. It’s a shame that these kind of programmes always pick the same kind of women.

Just watched the clip on Twitter. They’ve definitely edited it to make it look like Gemma is about to reveal her true identity but imagine it’ll actually be something really boring like sharing that she thinks Manrika is a catfish or similar. I just can’t see admitting that you’re really a male ex-gladiator catfishing as a female nurse going down well and don’t think Gemma/ Hunter would be risk coming completely clean, especially to a self-proclaimed mega fan of the NHS. But maybe I will be proved wrong!

I don’t recall any catfishes playing a completely different identity coming clean before but there have been a few reveals, in series 1 there was a lady who had her baby daughter in the circle with her who didn’t reveal she was a mum until mid-way through and in the US version there was a plus-sized woman playing as a skinny version of herself who came clean part-way through and ended up changing her fake profile to pics of her real self. In both of those cases though the players were playing as themselves but with some aspects of their looks/ real-life hidden, I don’t recall anybody ever admitting they were cat-fishing as a completely fake identity until the end.

I don't remember anyone coming clean in earlier seasons and I doubt Gemma will now.

I don't think someone giving the money to charity would make me more likely to back them. It just means they don't need the money so are giving it away. I'd rather the money went to someone who needed the money and for whom that money would be life enhancing, not that I think the poorest person or the person with the biggest sob story should win either as that just encourages melodramatic "poor me" ness and we get enough of that in reality shows as it is. If I was in the show I'd vote for the person I wanted to win and try and win myself as that's the point of the game and ignore who says they are doing what with the money.

Hunter/Gemma takes part in bodybuilding/strongman competitions, if there's anyone with the mental strength & competitive streak to get through the Circle it's him so doubt he'd reveal his identity.

No, they usually don’t air a show on Saturdays but this week they didn’t air on Sunday either. So tonight is first show since Friday.

Wow James isn't that bad.

Wow can't believe he's actually told Andy, it will be interesting to see how Andy rates him. I think he will keep him in for the time being and keep him as an ally but when the time comes potentially use the catfish story as a way to get him out.

It really did.

And we just lose an overly loud woman, only to get another one in her place. She might even love herself more than Manrika.

It feels like the Richard Madeley thing but we're expected to believe that Hunter's not getting any outside instruction.

I think Andy is worried about Hunter because he suspects Hunter may play as ruthlessly as him. Not sure why he pretends to want to oust catfishes when he evicts the genuine players. Why does no one suspect Manrika of being a catfish?

I really hope It isn't Andy or Gemma who gets to be the influencer.

I did laugh when Andy said maybe Gemma is catfishing as an ex Gladiator 😂 I've often thought that if I were in the Circle, I'd think I was in the Truman Show, with no other actual players - I'd be so paranoid about everything.
So. Andy, who's all about "no way will I let a catfish win" actually always gets rid of players that he doesn't suspect are catfish.
Also, WHY shouldn't a catfish win?! It's a GAME, and the point is to win over the others.
Re series 1, Freddie was just awful.

Catfishing hunting is one of the things that distracts too much on this show!

I'm actually really enjoying this series. It is nowhere near as good as Season 2 and that's ok because the casting for Season 2 was a stand alone work of genius and was the result of putting just the right mix of personalities in. I think they'd be hard pressed to get that chemistry again. It was a bit of a fluke I suppose.

Manrika to be exposed for the unpleasant person she is. I think she is so self obsessed that Natalya needn't have put half the work in to flirting with her, she'd have fallen at Felix's feet with just a few well placed compliments. See also: her reaction to Femi and how she was all "oh no, I've accidentally done it again" as if she's just so alluring to all men - the fact either of them could just be playing her hasn't even entered her mind!

Vithun he's sweet but potentially deadly. The others underestimate him. A bit of a Still Waters Run Deep scenario.

Gemma boring, but I like that Manrika hates her so much (the 2nd prettiest girl in the Circle - Manrika doesn't like the competition!)

Natalya I don't understand her reason for catfishing. She could have gone in as herself, with her back story and been as believable (or not) as Felix. To me, Felix is the most obvious catfish possible.

Andy is getting a bit too big for his boots, I think he's too comfortable with how popular he is. Also, if he exposes Gemma will everyone believe him because they've been burned once before with the Assassin task?* Not only that - in getting rid of 2 popular players, will the others start suspecting he is playing tactically and rally against him?

*(which makes me believe that was always the set-up for James to un-catfish himself, so very much outside influence manipulating the big reveal)

Femi and Pippa is it worth me getting invested? When is the final?
