The first three are wannabes.

Hunter - trying to revive his career.

Nooooooo
I expected no cliffhanger with the longer episode..
Dont like Andy

OysterMonkey · 26/03/2021 23:06

Yes Bonfire I think you’re spot on.
Plus the OG line up just wasn’t as good as last year.
But ultimately, yes, stop fiddling with the format.

@unique1986 - don’t panic. It’s only an advert!
jay55 · 26/03/2021 23:07

I was surprised by the voting. Andy and Manrika both showed their game playing side to the group.

AgnesNaismith · 26/03/2021 23:07

I’m going to be so pissed off if he votes Tally off

OysterMonkey · 26/03/2021 23:07

Though..... they’d better then show who is blocked. Perpetual cliffhangers are fucking tedious too.

bonfireheart · 26/03/2021 23:09

It's amazing how years later I can remember so many BB contestants but not the twists, so maybe they need to learn it's the people who make the show.

Although as someone here suggested it would be so good if a new contestant came in but took on the real character of one of the existing cat fish. Would love to see someone turn up pretending to be Hunter!

unique1986 · 26/03/2021 23:11

In face really dislike Andy.
Yes in the previous series you would never see these people blocked.

unique1986 · 26/03/2021 23:12

It's like the producers dont care who goes or stays. Apart from Andy ..

jay55 · 26/03/2021 23:12

I'm actually excited by the choice. It breaks up the alliances. So I'll be sticking around, if I can stay awake.

OysterMonkey · 26/03/2021 23:16

I can’t say I’m disappointed. She annoyed me from the off. But I do hope they put some more people in to liven it up a bit.
And stop the bloody awful twists.

unique1986 · 26/03/2021 23:16

Eye roll. MONDAY!!! 3 nights away.....

BillyIsMyBunny · 26/03/2021 23:20

I’m also pleased to see Talky gone just because it breaks up some of the alliances and weakens Gemma/ Hunter who I am really disliking, Tally was becoming one of her main bonds. I hope this makes it more likely that Gemma will go next as don’t think she has many others on her side. I also think this makes who will reach the final seem less predictable; in past series’ newbies nearly always get voted out when they’re up for elimination which means the OG players at the top rarely change. With a big player like Tally gone and with players trust in each other really shaken I think it’ll be interesting to see who tops the ratings next time and makes influencer as I that players feelings for each other will have changed a lot now.

PennyRoyal · 26/03/2021 23:42

I liked Tally. Hmph.

Ontheboardwalk · 27/03/2021 00:09

After 50 minutes I was ready to say I’m done with the show, the agony aunts bit was painful, but loved the last 10 minutes

I complained about the rubbish cliffhangers but can live with this one. Well maybe Monday pushing it a bit too far

Will finish watching Circle USA to survive until then

bitheby · 27/03/2021 00:35

I realised tonight that I'm not invested in any of the players. None of them seem to have genuine relationships and I don't think I like any of them. Their conversations are really boring.

Hashu slipped out of character tonight and that made me warm to him more.

I hope it picks up a bit in the remaining episodes.

STARmyarse · 27/03/2021 01:38

Not enjoying it so much this year.

Last year they nailed it with some really good
contestants and you actually got to know their personalities eg remember Tim fussing over his cat. Gemma and his dogs they’ve not even really made ‘a thing’ and just other things like that.

As others have said the chats just seem so superficial so they either must be cut lots and they’re maybe even told who to message and when? It doesn’t feel like any of them are actually getting to know each other.

Did Andy let Billy go because he knew he wasn’t a catfish therefore might have gone on to do quite well so wanted rid of the competition? There’s not much someone wouldn’t do someone they don’t even know for £100k. That’s why I was really surprised the way Felix was harping on about integrity etc. It’s a game with a fairly substantial prize. Of course people will do what it takes!

The Circle makes me miss Big Brother so much though. I think it could do so well if it came back and went back to a formula more like the first few series with lots of ‘kooky’ and strong characters who would actually be interesting to watch rather than just models and wannabes. It just became so tedious towards the end.

InglouriousBasterd · 27/03/2021 02:12

They definitely have more chats than are shown. The voiceover earlier mentioned Gemma had spent the morning in group chats which we hadn’t seen.

I’m kind of liking this series but it’s not a patch on last year. They seem obsessed with finding catfish and it’s all about game plans.

I’m glad Tally went, she wasn’t my favourite personality.

bonfireheart · 27/03/2021 07:54

Yep vithun keeps referring to his chats and the others say they all love him but we don't see them. Instead we have these manufactured conversations between Felix and manrika...oh look Felix and manrika have to write a limerick about each other, what a surprise.

Also think manrika profile photo is deceptive. I think if hashu actually met her he would go running, can't imagine them together at all. So screechy!

RevolutionRadio · 27/03/2021 07:57

I don't think splitting up the alliances is such a bad thing.

The next circle chat might be interesting if nothing else.

KarensChoppyBob · 27/03/2021 08:12

Syed re Felix: is this guy a waste man bruv?! Grin

Maves · 27/03/2021 09:59

Love "syed" tally was spot on when she said she doesn't care if he's a catfish as he's got a good heart or whatever. And I think a lot of his true self comes out. And he is hilarious.

Gutted tally went really don't get a days thinking. Manrika is a bitch, really don't like her glad she's getting played by "felix" and all that No man comes between me and my girls bullshit ermmmm.
Gemma/Hunter seems too cold/calculated.
I like it but the first two series didn't have all the extra bollocks and worked.

MrsToothyBitch · 27/03/2021 10:51

@bonfireheart that was me suggesting someone should show up as one of the catfishers real identities. They should let Tally do it! Be interesting if someone popped up as Hunter from Gladiators.

I had a couple of busy days but binge to catch up and watch live last night and I'm pretty annoyed Tally went. It will shake the groups up but I liked her and loathe Scott-Dot. Why would Andy keep Dot? It makes no sense.

Manrika and Natalya are really grating. Natalya is the biggest hypocrite going. Money is a huge motivator- some people need the money so necessity will trump playing fair, they're all competitive and she's playing the biggest con of the lot!
Manrika is showing a genuinely nasty side now, proper mean girl. She took the portrait painting too far and she's been so manipulative. It's coming across less as part of being tactical in the game and more that she really isn't nice. She has also hated Gemma from day 1, pre any of the drama. Fair enough we don't take to people but she never had a reason, just hated her. It hasn't made her look good and the way she twists the knife whenever just makes her look meaner!

Since Syed did such a good job of figuring out who painted what, I hope he really gets over his crush and lands her in it, tbh. I also noticed, as a Pp did, that he came out of character with a surprisingly fluent message last night. Even if they all think he's a catfish anyway, slip ups like that put you in the cross-hairs!

aSofaNearYou · 27/03/2021 11:15

I'm definitely backing Syed to win now, him and Tally were the only genuinely likeable people in there for me! Disappointed with last night's result, though it will be interesting to see how it shakes things up. That episode really put me off Manrika, a part of me is now rooting for Felix (though I still think she's a massive hypocrite).

Don't mind Andy but that was the second obviously terrible blocking decision he's made in a row, so I'm kind of hoping people stop rating him so bloody high once they see Tally's leaving video.

bonfireheart · 27/03/2021 11:23

I only ever want nice people to win and Tally was nice, her telling Manrika to be wary of Felix was not game playing but true friendship.

Be really interested to hear Andy's thought process.
