It is funny how they are all talking out loud their every thought which I know they have to, but I'd feel so self vonscious...honestly try it for five mins! Think I'd get sick of my own voice!!

Yes! I thought of the contestants this morning as I was pottering around, talking to myself about laundry and deliveries. It would be strange and unnatural to have to declaim my every social thought in a clear and comprehensible manner.

I think I've worked out the problem with this series, they have too many cliffhangers and twists and not enough actual blockings and new characters. It's not as fast paced as previous series have been. It's just full of twists and the same old people having superficial and boring conversations. Maybe they were short of contestants applying this year.

Watching it now as it's on too late. I like Vithun Syed and Andy best which is disappointing as I'd like to support a woman but the ladette stuff is boring and superficial and Felix would have been OK if she hadn't been such a sanctimonious hypocrite about Gemma

Why are there no intelligent women with proper jobs (not social media influencer crap) playing themselves?

I wonder if there is less turnover due to them having to isolate/bubble up Before they go in.

The cliffhangers are so annoying especially when I've managed to stay awake to watch to the end!

@2Rebecca I agree, I wish Gemma was real and Natalya was playing herself. I am not warming to Manrika or Tally at all. They are far too shouty.

@RevolutionRadio that's a good point, that would explain it. This series is really lacking new people. I just keep hoping they've got someone awesome waiting in the wings!

Urgh, me too! Thank god for Easter holidays next week - the only positive is being able to get up slightly later to work in the ‘home office’ so 10pm might be more do-able #covidbonus #whathaveibecome

Have the players not watched previous series? All this "you wouldn't lie about being in the NHS" crap. The first series had a woman pretending to be a doctor and I thought last series had a bloke being a pretend nurse. Jobs are definitely OK to lie about. It's disability and non whiteness that are likely to be genuine. Everything else is up for grabs. Also more young people pretend to be older than vv

How much longer is it on for? Just wondering if scope for any more to go in.

1 more week. This year is slower and more boring as fewer blockings and new people. I fast forwarded an episode of Gemma just telling fibs. They really dragged that bit out. I do think the new editions are unfair. I'd rather they started with more and eliminated more. Sometimes they should let the bottom person vote someone out to spice it up a bit. Really hope Manrika doesn't win. She was unnecessarily nasty to Tally and her repentance was fake

Totally agree. She's not so worried about Tally being evicted for Tally, she's worried she will lose one of her allies. She has nasty streak her.

Hmm ... Not sure I agree. I actually thought introducing endless new people was a weakness in past seasons. The original set of entrants tended to close ranks and vote out the new people - eventually whittling themselves down to a core group. So new contestants were barely even disrupters, just episode fillers.

And the interesting () conversations and more engaged 'relationships' developed amongst the core group.

Really the ideal structure would be to choose a core group at the beginning - from whom the winner would eventually be chosen. Other people could be brought in occasionally - with the acknowledgment that they were only visiting to enliven conversation and thus cause more to be revealed about the primary contestants. So in that sense I prefer this season. It's just a shame the current contestants have made it so vapid and superficial.

(I mean I prefer it now because fewer new contestants are being introduced.)

I dislike Manrika, she really seems to enjoy being fake to everyone. I don’t for a minute believe she is actually interested in Felix, it’s all a game to her. I do wonder if she’d have played it differently if viewers were voting for the winner... Tally seems very naive which is making her more likeable in my eyes. I love Syed, he has such a joy about him. Can’t see what everyone else is seeing in Vithun, he is dull but they all seem to feel sorry for him.

My winner is either Syed or Andy.

I really don't like Andy. All the 'let me tell you about my bowel' at the beginning. And yesterday when he was asking Gemma if she was a catfish and was saying you'd have to be really low to respond the way she did - it infuriated me as that's the whole point of the game. Is he genuinely that stupid/naive ?

Don't like Gemma/Hunter either though!

Yup in previous years I've not thought too much of it but this year with the whole NHS hero thing it seems really off to me, but I guess the aim of the game is to be most popular.

Hi I've watched all the series but still don't get it.

Is the point of the game to get rid of all the catfish' so you vote for the person you think is telling the truth or do you vote for the most popular / likeable even if you don't think they are who they say they are?

Gemma/James will be donating half the winnings to nurses so I think he feels that makes it ok. I’m more surprised that no one is interested in asking about her being a nurse and don’t seem to treat her with the respect I’d expect them to give her, especially Andy who’s obviously a big fan of the NHS.

They don’t really seem to be quizzing / talking about any of their jobs much at all.
Which may be down to the editing, of course.
For example, that Syed Manrika snake portrait reveal seemed to come out of nowhere. But I assume it was part of a longer convo that we didn’t see.

So much production meddling. Andy not talking to Billy at all about the football hmmm. Then Andy saying to manrika "I know more than others (about Gemma) but won't say...and then getting rid of Billy anyway.

And I think the producers played their hand too early with the Orange Tally twist. I thought vithun was very astute after they revealed the Gemma twist "now no one will trust anyone". And I think that's what's wrong with this series, too many twists too soon.
