I'm looking forward to this too. I read somewhere it was starting last Friday and was really disappointed.

We've just started '83, a couple of episodes in, really enjoying it so far.

I can't wait. Loved the first 2 series. Watched a recap thingie the other day that refreshed what happened in my head.

I found '86 a bit confusing as there was a lot going on and a few different locations. I eventually sorted it out in my head, though, and am looking forward to watching '89.

Saw a review of this a few weeks ago, but hadn't heard of it. So I watched '83 and really enjoyed it.

I was trying to tell a friend about Same Sky but couldn't remember the name. Thanks for reminding me. So gutted that there wasn't another series, it ended with so much still going on.

Loved this. Will try not to binge it all this weekend.

Managed to limit myself to episode 1 and 2 last night. Loved it. It's funny and sexy as well as interesting. Must not binge, must not binge.....

So after telling you all..I missed the first half hour of it! Typical!

Loved '83. Couldn't really get into '86. Will give '89 a go.

I've watched the first few episodes, even though I was a bit confused as I'd forgotten what had happened to Lenora in 86.
I remember watching the events around the Berlin Wall on TV at the time, and found it quite moving watching it again.
I wonder if the Hoff will make an appearance!

I’ve binged it all. I won’t post any spoilers. I didn’t enjoy as much as previous two seasons. I was a bit confused about events and timings throughout. There were some great parts, a very funny third episode. Some of it felt a bit far fetched but bearable. I finished up feeling a bit “meh” about it. Definitely think the first season was the best.

I also felt like it left a lot out that would have been helpful to tie it all together.

I adored first two series of this. And I'm loving 89.

If you like this, there is a fabulous book by Henry Porter called 'Brandenburg' which covers the same period and is a fab spy/thriller.

'86 was difficult as there was more going on. I stuck with it and managed to piece it all together. I agree that '83 was better.

I finally got to watch the first episode tonight. At first I thought I might be watching the second episode by mistake as there seemed to be a lot of missing information but it gradually became, sort of, clear.

I read Stasiland by Anna Funder after watching 83. It's worth a read.
