Our Girl Thread 59 "Our Girl and Soldier Soldier Revisited"

We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier. We are now on series 7.

Angie and Chris discuss the future - Chris's version of it - but then Angie drops the news that she's pregnant.

Mark is developing a deep-seated dislike of the Colonel and blames him for all his problems.

Why on earth would anyone want to go to Sgt Shouty's birthday party?

Something suspicious here - Jessica is querying why the invoice for a new saddle for the Colonel has been sent to her office.

So, the Colonel is charging expenses for his horse to the regiment...ah ha! Now you've got him Angie!

Meanwhile, Mark steals a car and hotwires it.

His army training has set Mark up for stealing cars by the looks of it.

Oh dear, Jessica is going to have to query the saddle invoice.

The Colonel is a thoroughly ignorant and arrogant individual.

The Colonel really is pantomime villain. How dare he berate her for doing her job. Someone has to look after the money or there'll will be no equipment to fight the enemy.

What is Mark doing? He's become very resourceful. Elvis could have used him in his section.

The Colinel is unspeakable, compared with the Brigs in OG

My favourite Colonel was Colonel Swagger from Series 1 and 2 and Colonel Nick from Germany. They were just right - soldierly, but with a sense of humour.
