Our Girl Thread 59 "Our Girl and Soldier Soldier Revisited"

We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier. We are now on series 7.

Sorry Julie - I really don't care if you get and Jaco get together, but I think you should aim your sights a bit higher.

I think Peter Barlow is almost at death's door now, isn't he? Not watched Corrie for a couple of weeks but he was in hospital the last time I saw it.

Mrs CSM is very annoyed about the scheming girlfriend. She is right that Sgt Shouty is applying double standards.

Hooray, here's Mark - forgot he got sent off to see a psychiatrist.

Oh good, Mark Hobbs is back after his psychiatric care.

As expected, CSM Fitzpatrick has no sympathy for his PTSD and for what happened in the Falklands, or wherever it was.

I haven't seen Corrie for years either. No idea about Peter except he's been through the street's females like a dose of salts...

Even Jeremy looks ill at ease with Fitzpatrick's assessment of the situation. Mark is going on some awful exercise or other and it's obvious Fitzpatrick wants him to fail.

Shouldn’t the three amigos be split up.

Sgt Shouty is the face of the modern, caring army, I see...

Now, if it was Sgt Georgie Lane, she would have been in there practically beating the Colonel about the head on Mark Hobb's behalf.

Looks like the lads group has been dropped a long way from everyone else and deliberately. What is wrong with Sgt Shouty?

The exercise is unlikely to go well.

Do we think CSM has deliberately picked a difficult area for the terrible trio's starting point? Poor Mark having to monitor them. Jacko has a mouth like the Mersey tunnel. You'd want to smack him one.

Well, at least they are out of the rain now.
