Our Girl Thread 59 "Our Girl and Soldier Soldier Revisited"

We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier. We are now on series 7.

Not a bad episode really. Can't decide if it was funny haha or funny peculiar. I'm definitely not finding these later series nearly so good though

Not a bad episode, but I certainly can see why this was the last series. I really don't wam to Jacko, Tony and Andy and feel very nostalgic about the old gang.

Plus Andy had done a tour of duty with Sharpe and without benefit of motorised vehicles.

I do miss Steve... far less Paddy and Dave ... even feeling nostalgic for Tone ...

I mean, Jacko’s PRECISELY the sort of twerp that gives squaddies a bad name. Him and Cheese, in their different ways.

Julie, Jacko's ex, turns up at the greyhound racing. What IS she wearing? You can almost see tomorrow's washing, that skirt is so short.

I agree about the skirt - there is something about the proportions. It’s wider than it’s long.
