Has anyone watched the Mallorca Files currently on the BBC iplayer? Is it suitable for a 10 nearly 11 year old?
My eldest has watched it all and insists it’ll be fine but I don’t want to get halfway through and have to cringe through sex scenes or anything. She is fine with Death in Paradise/ Shakespeare and Hathaway level of violence and death but hasn’t watched anything stronger.

I’ve just started watching this. So far it’s got no sex scenes and can’t imagine it will have any.

So far it’s not been very violent. It has had murders but they are all in death in paradise vain. To be honest it’s very similar to Shakespeare and Hathaway so far on the crimes that have been committed.

I've watched a few don't remember anything unsuitable for a 10 year old I can't imagine that it would appeal to one. Maybe it gets better as it goes on but I didn't find the storylines very gripping

Agreed. I was hooked on Shakespeare and Hathaway but I’m hoping this one gets a bit more interesting.

I watched the first series and 2 episodes of second series. At one point, Max is lying in the bed and his girlfriend is hovering around getting ready - but no sex. I also think it’s a daytime show so couldn’t really be racy. No swearing, no violence (alluded to - that is all) and no sex (the odd kiss but that is it). Perfect for a 10 year old!

Perfectly fine for a 10year old, it was originally shown on week day afternoons.

It’s fine. But no 10 year old I know would want to watch it. 😬
