Omg I love this show, I was too young the first time round but it is bloody hilarious

I liked this first time around and loved it even more second time around when I watched it a year or so ago

YourWurstNightmare · 21/02/2021 18:10

Classic. Nobody does cringe comedy like Julia Davis.

InFiveMins · 02/03/2021 20:17

Nighty night is one of my favourites.

Julia Davies also wrote and starred in Sally4Ever which is just as good!!

TheLostDiadem · 02/03/2021 20:20

Camping is also fabulous. All the episodes are on YouTube.

Divorce has heightened your eyebrows

@bjjgirl you need to watch Human Remains from around the same era - Julia Davis/Rob Brydon. It’s dark, extraordinarily good acting - and plays on your heart strings too. It’s a little know comedy gem. Think there are 6 episodes - m.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj6Hh4IrFWM

newlabelwriter · 03/03/2021 05:35

I love it. If you haven’t discovered Joan & Jericha podcast yet I really recommend that too. Julia Davies is hilarious on this.

bjjgirl · 03/03/2021 06:23

Yes thanks I will Any further recommendations are welcome! I loved the league of gentlemen which is similar, Rev, derek

@bjjgirl Charity Shop Sue is gd. She’s a bit like Jill, you have to watch a few episodes to get into it. m.youtube.com/watch?v=CMIg7s7ZGwI

@bjjgirl and this episode - m.youtube.com/watch?v=WTk1hA32nEs

The dynamic between Sue and Vera is like Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. So well observed. And somehow Sue comes out as the hero - even though she is so obnoxious!

bjjgirl · 06/03/2021 06:39

Just downloaded Human remains, love it

@bjjgirl The Swingers episode in the B and B is great. I think the character changes for each episode/accents are amazing. To the extent that people thought it was different actors. Charity Shop Sue has saved me during lockdown too.

I love Tim Key too - this interview is just first class. m.youtube.com/watch?v=6ihO2X-oGoE&t=350s
