My favourite episode is the one where an emotional vampire starts working at the same place as Colin. When I first saw it I was working with someone who was a complete emotional vampire, and after that she could no longer annoy me at all

I'm going to have to watch it all again. Just reading this thread is making me grin from ear to ear.

It should probably be made compulsory lockdown watching. It would be good for the nation's mental health.

Hmm, I've been wondering about this. Loved the film, long time Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi fan, but wasn't sure about the show. I'm reassured by these reviews and will watch tomorrow and report back!

Am half way through the first series ...I am soooooooooo glad I saw this thread and everyone’s views on it - the series so far is definitely as good as the film - different but really good - I love Nadja and am pretty sure I work with Colin. God bloody love Mumsnet.

I’d say if you like WWDITS and need something else to watch with a similar sense of knowing humour I’d recommend Motherland (written by Helen & Graham Linehan (he of Father Ted fame) and probably also Ghosts, starring most of the Horrible Histories ensemble.

We love this show! They're currently filming season 3, due to be released around Halloween apparently (of course). Far too long to wait!

I've been trying to get hold of We're Wolves and the police spin-off (something to do with Wellington?) but no joy.

Everyone who loves this should watch Garth Marenghi's DarkPlace. Matt Berry's first tv role as Todd Rivers/Dr Lucien Sanchez. It's amazing - even the sound editing is funny.

Tbh I have the DVD (get me!) and that's even funnier because it has the episode commentaries. The episode where Sanchez falls in love with a woman who's turning into broccoli is great, as he waffles on in character for ages and then suddenly goes "Why is she green?"

Amazing.

Omg what am I saying... yes to Garth marenghi.... and Bon Mortimer’s Instagram page has a great take on a rubbish boss (start a few early ones to get a sense of it). And then HIS boss is Matt Berry! Such good sketches

Oh and Matt Berry was ace on an episode of Portlandia, but really hard to find online :(

Taika Waititi is just so funny and clever, and the flight of the concord blokes... I’m sure there are other shows to recommend. Great mix of comedy legends in WWDITS!

When I watched the Handforth parish council meeting I kept thinking Colin Robinson would have loved it.

We got DS 'Yes I can hear you Clem Fandango' and 'Fatherrrrrrr' t shirts for his birthday. He loves them.
