How scary is Stranger Things?

In need to watch it to see if my DD can but I’m a bit of a wuss. For example the Haunting of Hill house clips that I saw on gogglebox were too scary. And that thing with Jude law, The Third Day was also too horrible. I managed The OA. Just.
So what do you think?

My 8 and 10 year old watch this. I've not seen an episode. They also watch vampire diaries thanks to their dad. I think that's too old for them.

I haven't watched it because it's just not my thing.

If she wants to watch it as 'all her friends have' I'd let her, but warn her that just because her friends said they have and said it's not scary' doesn't mean it's true!

Be warned that your DD will become obsessed with it! I’m sure she’ll just neeeeeed all of the merchandise (DS is furious that most of the hoodies are for girls). Millie Bobby Brown is exceptional though for a 12 year old 😵.

Not remotely scary and I'm a complete chickenshit when it comes to horror. It's more of a kids adventure story, like the goonies or ET. Some bits make you jump but most of it is damn good fun!

Not really scary, and great fun... can't wait for the next series.

And really, not at all similar to the Goodies! (unfortunately)
