Anyone else watch this on Channel 4 last night? I enjoyed it a lot, the two main actors playing the emperor and empress are great, I know I should hate Peter's character because he is such a terrible person but Nicholas Hoult has great charisma. Saying that, I really hope he gets what is coming to him by the end of the series.

Cliffhanger ending there, I hope it doesn't take too long for Series 2 I'm desperate to see what happens next.

It took me a while to get into the style of The Great but I ended up loving it. I'm delighted that they're making a second series.
I knew Sacha Dhawan as a child so maybe I"m biased but I thought he was excellent in the role of Orlo.
We now say Huzzah! and Indeed in our house

Just brilliant, poor Orlo he never got his time to shine, and Leo. Why didn't she send him away??

(I did feel series 1 was a very guilty pleasure. Could only watch it when adult DS was otherwise engaged)

late to the party but The Great, was great!

Someone has finally worked out that those of us who like period dramas also like comedy! Don't get me wrong, I love a classic serious/brooding period drama but this was a breath of fresh air.

I've just seen Series 2 starts on Sunday on something called Starzplay. What's that?! I'm going to have to spend time tomorrow trying to understand how to access it (and how to unsubscribe once the series is finished!)
