YY to being out of touch with current music. DM and I would watch Top of the Pops together every Thursday back in the day so she kind of kept up with the charts that way. There's nothing like that now - I wouldn't have a clue what's number one.

I miss TOTP. I record old episodes ( they are currently showing 1990- the year I went to university). I do think there is a cap in the market for a show like it now- but it would probably be really expensive now.

Piggy there are still charts- but unlike the old days (when I worked at Ourt Price and had to record singles sales in a book for the Gallup chart) a lot of it is down to streaming. Which is not the same.

I did like that Wham! Last Chrismas finally got to number 1 recently. But it's not the same as physical sales, is it?

@Raahh 1990 was the year I discovered indie music. I'm not overstating things to say it changed my life.

Noisy I am from Manchester, so Indie was a way of life . The Madchester scene made me proud to live where I did, for the first time, really.
