Just finished the series - AMAZING!! Loved it! The whole thing was just a fantastic cheese fest of karate kid love!

Whoever writes the show must be a true fan as the attention to detail and ensuring all the 'back-stories' tie up is brill!

I agree, Billy Zabka is gorgeous - nothing like Boris Johnson at all!

I think my absolute favourite line on the show is towards the end of the 2nd season when Johnny & Carmen and Amanda & Daniel are getting snippy with each other in front of the waitress at the Mexican restaurant both couples are at. Amanda apologises to the waitress for their behaviour and deadpan explains that the have rival karate dojos.

Amanda is brilliant, I love her deadpan commentary on all their bullshit

I love how the humour throughout is so dry. When they were all at that community meeting trying to get the All Valley tournament reinstated and Amanda gets removed because she goes off on one at Kreese, then it cuts to Johnny sniggering in the corner. I was pissing myself because that’s exactly what he would do

So excited for Terry Silver!! I know he’s a prick but he’s so entertaining. I don’t think the actor has a ponytail anymore so they better give him one so Johnny can rip the piss.

I think mine is when Daniel and Johnny are battling in the front garden, and she invites them in for breakfast.

Wow! The ending is what I've been waiting for since the beginning! Argh. Can't believe it's done. Need more! 😝

I think this season was my favourite. I love the 80's action style delivery of the show - a random fight breaking out every 10 minutes! The nostalgia was well done. I was impressed that they brought back every original cast member for each role, I don't think anyone has been re-cast? And it was just consistently entertaining all the way through.

Also the show runners have clearly been taking notes on certain things that piss off viewers, they've written their female characters well. Amanda is more like the ironic sage of the show than the usual tired trope of the nagging wife who wants to spoil all the fun. Ali - with an i - was respectful and backed right off once she realized Johnny was seeing someone, avoiding the equally tired trope of love triangle (though the teenagers have that covered but that drama is appropriate for their ages.) Same with Kumiko. Daniel's trip to Japan was the season highlight for me, and I didn't think that would be the case!

Hmm I didn't love the new series 😕

Just found it stretched believability to the absolute limits, esp magically recovering from a spinal injury as well as the multiple assaults that weren't reported to the police.

Creepy Kreese also made me want to scream every time he was on screen!!

I thought Danny's wife was the best character tbh.
