I have loved CTM for years, great characters and stories. Some nice parts last night, but is anyone getting tired of Sr Monica Joan? We jokes in another thread about how much teal there was, so I did laugh at Phyllis having a teal trapeze outfit!

She apparently had an elected caesarian because 'she didn't think she could cope with child birth'.

She also suffered from ICP and had to have her baby delivered early as a matter of urgency.

Nice bit of catty judgemental sniping over another woman's choices there Hmm
So what if she elected for a Caesarian? I'm sure she had her reasons and she isn't obliged to share them with the general public.

She did share it with the general public, it was in an interview in the Radio Times before she had the baby so I didn't know anything about the emergency birth. I merely stated a fact, not a judgement. I thought it was ironic that she has played a midwife for years. Perhaps this is what put her off.

It was hearing other women's experiences as part of her role that made her consider what was right for her.

@parsnipsnotsprouts

The turners are so bloody cheeky. Shunning dinner at Nonnatus but then turning up with four kids last minute expecting to be fed. Arseholes
I thought that too! Especially as the children wanted to go to Nonnatus and Shelagh unilaterally decided they were staying at home. It seemed rather at odds with the lovely they'd had in previous years Shock

They could've had parts of Christmas at home and enjoyed a meal with the Nonnatons!
