Anyone see this, this week? Its on youtube and the gmtv website as well. She seemed restless and was rambling on like she was on drugs or something. At the end of the interview she was on Andrew whatshisname on Gmtvs knee! It doesnt show you that bit though it cuts off before that! i had to go and check out the interview after reading about it. She looks in a bad way and seriously needs help, ive never seen her go on like that on telly before. Ill try and link it but im not sure how to link.

TheCurseOfTheMhummy · 21/10/2007 12:29

I couldn't agree more with twinsetandpearls post of 12.02

bodycolder · 21/10/2007 12:31

these people court the press and would be lost with out the attention.Otherwise why not retreat and sort yourself out?Its not like they can't afford it.About time we stopped buying into this rubbish These people are not to be admired nor their lives aspired to.

TheCurseOfTheMhummy · 21/10/2007 12:33

We also court the press by buying the glossy's, watching the programmes. It does cut both ways.

bodycolder · 21/10/2007 12:35

stop buying it then. There is nothing to learn from these people the only reason to buy them is to gawp.

TheCurseOfTheMhummy · 21/10/2007 12:39

Personally, I couldn't agree with you more but sadly it isn't that simple, we live in a meeja saturated society now.

2mum · 21/10/2007 12:40

I was thinking it was maybe cocaine too but if she is bipolar and i dont know anything about it it could be that. If i knew for definate it was drugs i would give her a good slagging off! But theres no way of proving it.

I buy glossy mags nearly every week. I can read somebody else problems and take my mind off my own i suppose.

It is that simple We don't have to buy into it We all have a choice. These people are uneducated attention seekers and we are paying for their addictions.I hope this ends soon it is tragic Mind you will keep away from this thread as KK is imo one of the worst offenders in this whole circus

2mum · 21/10/2007 12:43

2Mum, firstly I think you hit on something when you said it takes your mind off your own troubles, sad but the kind of, well thank God that's not me.

Though in relation to your stance on having a go if it were drugs as opposed to a mental disability, addiction is in fact one too.

Fireflyfairy2 · 21/10/2007 12:49

Cocaine would be the last thing I would think of tbh. I used to have no synpathy for her until I realised she had bipolar disorder. This could explain lots of the interviews she has had over the years where people have blasted her as being high, hyper, twitchy etc..

Some of the medication she could have been taking for bipolar could make her unrecognisable. And even if she is pg she could have had her meds changed as to be safe in pregnancy. It still would change her behaviour.

2mum · 21/10/2007 12:49

There is Alcoholism in my family and also someone who had a drug problem (none of them me btw) so i do know about addictions and the consequences. But whether Kerry is ill or drugged up who knows. But i really dont like the thought of a pregnant woman on illegal substances.

sympathy

TheCurseOfTheMhummy · 21/10/2007 12:51

Sorry but unless we all run off to live in a cave, we will never be free of media in some form or other. Since the dawn of man it's been that way. For example in my parents generation, they had the Kennedy's and Maryln Monroe etc to keep them up to speed with the goss.

I suspect the Tudors or the Pharoes or hey even the Jesus clan had their share. Have you not watched Monty Python?

Seriously though, just look at high sky musical, my ds 6 watched it, loves it. It now appears the co stars who are dating are to be Hollywood fodder, it is inevitable and as I said unless we all run to the hills, to a degree we can't avoid it.

2mum · 21/10/2007 12:52

Tbh ive never seen her in interviews as bad as that before. I saw the charlotte Church show thing and Kerry was pregnant then (i think) and she seemed fine nothing like the Gmtv interview.

Thats true cotm. Also look how things tured out for Princess Diana that was awful.

OP posts:
bodycolder · 21/10/2007 12:54

We can't avoid it in the ether of every day life but once you start eliminating it from your own personal life /space it becomes surprisingly easy to ignore.there are so many great things to read/do and see that the likes of that trash are a waste of your time and money I do sympathise if she is ill btw

TheCurseOfTheMhummy · 21/10/2007 12:56

I met her once in a nightclub in Dublin when she was still with Brian and tbh even back then I felt sorry for her, she was surrounded by so many flunkies and I guess due to her unstable upbringing to then be suddenly thrust into the limelight, I mean she was barely a teenager in the Atomic kitten days. I dunno, it's all very sad.

2mum · 21/10/2007 12:57

Another way to look at is she wouldnt be sitting in her big lovely house or her and ex cabbie Mark buying expensive cars. Shes made a lot of money from this.

If she hadnt become famous and became wealthy were would she have ended up?

TheCurseOfTheMhummy · 21/10/2007 13:00

I agree bodycolder, I believe age has some bearing on this too, I mean I know when Now magazine first hit the shelves I used to buy it because it did have some really interesting articles but now it's become very trashy. Arghhhhh I give up, it's Sunday afternoon and my brains starting to ache from the effort of trying to think.

Giana · 21/10/2007 13:37

I have huge sympathy for her.

I've seen her on plenty of interviews over the years and she has always come across like that .... all over the place & a bit crazy. I think its just her personality.

She has had a rollercoaster of a life. She was dragged up ffs. It would be impossible for someone to come from an unstable/disfunctional home like she did to end up "normal".

But I think her heart is in the right place. I hope she is off drugs for good, and I hope her life becomes stable because this girl derserves a break.
