Tess, if she says ONCE MORE that Shirley or Motsi are on their feet whilst applauding....Shirley and/or Motsi stand up to applaud almost every dance, it's nothing new but Tess has to tell us, the poor viewer EVERY.BLOODY.TIME. She's drivin' me feckin' crazy.

Maise, you're good at robotic dancing , we get it, enough now.

There was a time you could watch on the red button with a fixed camera angle, and it was amazing.

Sparklingbrook · 07/12/2020 19:20

The whole show needs a complete overhaul, it's old and tired and very samey.
I usually watch on catch up to whizz through everything other than the dance and the judges comments/scores. While reading James Jordan's critiques on Twitter.

The singing is a disgrace and really offputting. As is all the stuff with props.

Do Shirley and Motsi stand up so they can see the dancers feet though? Sometimes I wonder if the desks are so high that only Craig can fully see over them regardless of where the dancers are on the dancefloor.

Yes they do stand to see the dancer's feet but I am talking about when the dance is finished. They often give a standing ovation which really, when you consider how often they do it, means nothing.

Shirley stands most times if she scores a 10 which annoys me a bit but Motsi seems to jump up and jiggle about a lot. On Saturday she seemed particularly bad and I really did think at one stage her boobs were going to slip over that dress

NancyDrawed · 07/12/2020 21:04

The whooping and hollering is demanded encouraged by the warm up man (I feel a bit bad that I can't remember his name, oops!)

Tess does annoy me with her 'Look at his/her little face!' but having been to a live recording (after years of trying, I might add) I have a new found respect for her. Where I was sitting was near the aisle of where she appears from between dances and after she had done a bit to camera she literally sprinted up the stairs to a little techie station while the couple danced and then sprinted back down to get in position to speak to them afterwards. In heels. God knows how Brucie managed it in his latter years (and not wearing heels as far as I am aware!)

The amount of times Janette high-fives Hrvy drives me mad! Once you’ve noticed it, it really starts to grate. I’d be tempted to just leave her hanging after the fifth high five in one interview.

charliebear78 · 09/12/2020 13:15

I think last week Harvey had only just brought his hand down when Jeanettes was up there again waiting for an high five!

AddictedToCrisps · 09/12/2020 13:22

@charliebear78 I really can’t understand it! He never looks annoyed but I would be. It makes me feel really uncomfortable for some reason.

Bloodypunkrockers · 09/12/2020 16:59

That is one of the things I live about this year and which was an"make it stop" in previous years

Jeanette and Karen shoving their way to the front, gurning and acting up in the Clauditorium

And thank god no stupid Kevin kick at the intro bit

Thank you Covid Grin

ilovesooty · 09/12/2020 17:11

Make the singers' noise stop.
Put a gag on Motsi.
Make Shirley's perving stop.
And please stop the mum, nan and kidzwars.

Confusedandshaken · 11/12/2020 19:11

Go back to proper judges comments with rules for the dances explained and attention given to technique. I'm fed up of Motsi and Shirley talking about appearance. As far as I can remember Darcy started that habit and it's very annoying. I can see if they are beautiful or look happy for myself. We don't need a dance 'expert' to tell us that.

shadypines · 13/12/2020 15:58

I'm sooo glad no one is holding back ...

Giovanni bellowing "THANGEW! THANGEW! THANGEW!" when he's called safe during the results show. It took me about four years to warm to him and he's rapidly losing my goodwill again with that shit. I didn't realise this annoyed me so much until JimmyJabs pointed it out!

ScienceSensibility I can see you are NOT prepared to take Tess prisoner Grin

Agree with the poster who said we should have a few more comments on technique and less glib, inane or plain pervy (yes Shirley I'm looking at you) comments.

Last but by no means least the CGI, definately in line for a shout of "MAKE IT STOP". Last night I found unnerving because initially I thought Mr Novowels and Jeanette were actually in a bloody snowglobe, can't be doing with this my brain being messed with by tricks. I either want a real T-rex brought back by Jurassic Park style by Richard Attenborough or none at all thanks Grin

Motsi, on the other hand, is one of the most annoying people ever. Keeps standing up. Keeps standing up and jiggling about (surprised her boobs have never come out of her awful dresses). Shouts, shrieks, screeches all the time. Hardly ever says anything sensible or constructive. I have taken to actually listening to her comments and they are almost all inane rubbish.

Completely agree. Just one example, she was asked to advise one of the dance off contestants, one night. She screeched some inane rubbish at them. I could have given them the 'advice' she did, and I'm no dancer.

I record it and fast forward through most of it apart from the dances and the scores.

CharityDingle · 13/12/2020 17:45

Oh and 10s are being flung around far too easily this year. There's no excitement about them anymore.

thenightsky · 13/12/2020 18:14

So did I. I said to DH, 'hope they are not going to do the whole dance in that thing, because we cannot see them properly'.
