I have some questions about Michelle,s pregnancy ,she's adament it's Grants baby ,but didn't she have a thing with her Boss ? And didn't Geoff stay over how can she be certain ???

Big Mo was in charge of buying the wedding shoes , the dresses were burgandy for the BMs, gold/burgandy for Big Mo , white and burgandy for Little Mo . The shoes were Barbie Pink with gold holly and 6" heels , none fit

Billly looked gorgeous until his bottle of Pepto Bismol burst in his pocket
But all the loose ends pulled in and Little Mo had ger dream wedding (well as near as it would be with Billy organising it )

Laura told Gary he was the Dad and moved into the Slaters' Tardis House when Ian threw her out (Ian doesn't know who the other suspects are but they did the same thing as they did with Michelle . We see three blokes pick up the phone -Gary , Paul, Ricky - one gets I need to see you now call ). Laura and Lynn having lots of chats , Gary is brickin' it that Laura will tell Lynn

Jamie has died , Martin has been arrested and the prospect of prison looms .

I'm sure it was Barry Evans who said "best Christmas ever" a few weeks ago , he's scuppered it this year

Poor Jamie. That was quite moving. I may have shed a tear! And actually felt sorry for Martin too.

I cannot remember much about Jamie's death in 2002 but my DD was only 6 months and my DS was 3yo so he was very into Christmas . And my DParents spent Christmas with us , so we were busy with Christmas planning, cooking, excited DC and very excited grandparents !

I do remember it the first time - not sure where I was but definitely watched it!!

I watched Mon/Tues which was New Year (I'll catch up with the rest of the week later )

So , in no particular order :

There was a NYE party at Angies Den ( if that's still the name ) with a Dance Competition. Inevitably Barry dances like a pratt and throws his back out
Joanne ( Phils nanny) has her eyes on Ricky but 'fesses up to him that she has a huge crush on Phil Best Sex I Ever Had Mitchell . Yes she's had her pineapple juice spiked with vodka otherwise she'd never harbour such thoughts . (And back them Phil was a lot younger but I still wouldn't)
Natalie cops off with Ricky after Pat in her rose-coloured glasses reminiced about "You never forget your first love" .

Kat and Anthony are caught in flagrante by Zoe who blows up at them but them seems to very very cool with it . I sense Trouble Ahead.

Ian told Laura he'd let her back if she told him who the dad was. Which she did but he threw her out anyway . Gary is on eggshells for fear of Laura telling Lynn and she refuses to terminate . Lynne is booking exotic holidays for her and the spineless Gary .

Spencer is trying to cop off wth Kelly ( Zoes mate) they have a NYE snog but she's not hanging about for him.

Alfie is being blackmailed by an ex-cop who inviteshis friends over for "free drinks" at the Vic which Alfie has to pay for .

Sam auditioned a new hunky bloke for her bar which seems to involve him being unable to make any drink except beer and losing his clothes .

Phil is planning Jamies funeral .
Kate turns up in the Square , says she's a nail technition.

And even though it was New Year they were playing Christmas songs in the Square , I heard "FairyTale of New York" at one point .

I need to catch up the next 6 episodes once I can prise DH off the telly .

Is that Ryan (Whitney’s brother) as the new street sweeper??!

Janine and that cliff can’t come along soon enough!

I'm pleased that the loose end of Lisa in Portugal has been tied up, but I'm a bit disappointed that Phil didn't murder her!

Couldn't get on board with the whole police honeytrap thing, it was ridiculous.

I feel sorry for Barry because Natalie has run off with Ricky, but I also hate him for being so mean to Pat. Really sorry that Roy has died, I loved him!

Interested to see how Laura's pregnancy plays out. And what Ian will do next.

Glad that Martin's in prison, hopefully there'll be fewer teenage angst-ridden storylines for a while.

I think I see Barry as the maker of his own misery. A man who just constantly acts like a child and a spoilt brat when he didn’t get his own way. I can’t say I blame Nat for leaving him. She tried talking to him about how she felt, and he just talked over her.

Lisa not being murdered is disappointing, we know it won’t be long before her expressive brows and whining voice will be about again haha.

the honey trap was just silly, but I’ve a feeling Kate will be back!!

I’ve never understood why Natalie would have ever married Barry in the first place. He’s awful! And not kind or nice or any of the things she said when she was leaving him. I mean Ricky’s not great either. In fact most of the men are.

as if Kate would actually fall in love with Phil. She doesn’t have great taste tho - she was in love with Martin Platt before that.

Natalie & Barry was a very strange match, she was 22-ish and he was 40? But let's face it, this is a soap opera so nothing's just normal and boring!

I'm a bit baffled with baby Eleanor, will we ever find out more about her mother? Surely Anthony, as a doctor, would have reported the abandoned baby to the authorities?

Interestingly I saw Tony Caunter (actor who played Roy) recently in an episode of Lovejoy from the early 90s.

It’s really bizarre, I have no memory at all of the whole ‘baby Elenor’ storyline. Just totally new.

I really hope Pat manages to bring Barry down a peg or 2. The bloke is an arrogant twat.

I'm not impressed with the amount of gambling going on, the betting shop is a permanent setting now, and there are poker games happening all the time! Only for the men, of course 🙄

Fascinated by Janine and Barry, she's sooooo manipulative and he's sooooo stupid!

I love Nanna Moon, she's such a welcome streak of comedy in an otherwise pretty dismal setting!

Dennis will grow you on you 😍. Vicky is awful and stays awful.

Just watched the episode where he says 'hello princess' a couple of days ago but not had chance to watch any since

i wont be fast forwarding the Sharon /Dennis and Vickie episodes for a bit

I am still playing catch up and have to work solid for the next 10 days so no chance to watch Dirty Den's return 🙁but I am a week's worth of episodes from the Den episode - cannot wait!

Currently got up to where that horrible guy in the flat above Shirley was taunting her and her cat is now dead.

Hate Tariq and the way he talks about women, would like to see less of him.

Looking forward to watching Nigel Harmon on Strictly.

Vicky's lost her American accent, thank god.

Interesting to see Den back, but I just can't get on board with all the underworld gangster stuff.

Lots of histrionics from Sharon, I thought she was more sensible than that, although having just found out her dad wasn't dead is probably enough to tip anyone over the edge!

Interesting to watch it the second time around. I have watched the early classic Den and Angie years a million times. Used to have the video

Leslie Grantham was amazing first time around. 2003 version.....not so much. That said, the scripts were by necessity bizarre.
