I'd hate to be married to Ian Beale, but Laura also gets on my nerves with her incessant whinging.

Plus every single episode seems to include at least one woman called either a slapper, bike, slut, slag, whore, tart, bitch, cow. I also watched Classic Corrie and Eileen called 14 year old Candice a tramp and tart, but did not blame her 18 year old son for having sex with an underage girl - what a lad.

How times change.

Poor Janine. You can so see now how she ended up the way she did in the modern day eastenders. I was too young to remember it back then. She was so let down by everyone around her. Yep she had a viscous mouth, but I see it as a protective thing. Bite before bitten.

Today’s Jubilee episode where she was being lovely to the kids and all the Square turned against her, was so sad.

But I do love Jim, Dot and Patrick and the comedy value they bring. I know I shouldn’t have, but I howled with laughter at poor Joey and the hoover, and Them running to Anthony 😂

Zoe does my head in. Anthony going out with her after kat is gross, never mind the age gap.

Yeah I’ve been annoyed with Janine in the current episodes but when you watch the classics (I wasn’t watching at the time) you can see where she’s come from with her life

Sam trying to get back into modelling , (played by the present Sam not Daniella Westbrook) being told she could get glamour jobs if she was bustier but otherwise its catalogue

Phil and Lisa meeting up in secret for a quickie in the Arches . Lisa you idiot , Phil buy earplugs , Lisa whining can strip paint .
Pauline looking after Louise while Lisa tells her she going to see Sharon. Pauline does the CatsBumFace

Lynne is seeing her ex behind Gary's back but want to keep her marriage ( why ? Gary is hardly Mr Faithful)

Zoe and Anthiny planning to move to Scotland where he has a new job offer

Jim set the chip pan on fire

Jamie nearly caught Phil&Lisa when he went to the Arches for a spanner

Martin being an arse trying to impress his girlfriend but she's a whiney little whingebag so he should cheer when she stropped off .

I don't remember Lisa being in it so long. The writers really sold her out with the whiniest character in history

Lisa's just crazy. I'm sick of her shenanigans now.

There have been far too many cheating/affair storylines recently! And given the frequency of phone/mobile usage in all those storylines, why did we have a last-minute chase to the station to bid farewell to Zoe & Anthony? Anthony has a mobile phone, just call him!

Lisa’s so annoying

I'm always about 2 weeks behind watching these and can never catch up!

I loved Ian's face when Pat said 'did they get you by the short and curlies' after his vascetomy. He is such a snake but I don't like Laura either.

The Slaters are dominating everything and a few times I've fast forwarded past Kat and Zoe's screeching. The pub fight was great but Peggy didn't shout 'gerrrout mah pahb!!'

Derek & Pauline have such a lovely domesticity together though!

OMG Sam & Trevor, what is she thinking???????

I hope Little Mo & Billy settle down and are happy, they both deserve to be.

Lisa's story is completely crazy. She tries to kill Phil, then ditches Mark to move back in with him, immediately regrets it then flees to Portugal. FFS I hope that's the last we see of her!

I'm wondering if Laura will find out about Ian's vasectomy, or will she be agonising over not conceiving for months?

I watched one of yesterdays -
Gus and Sonia - he is such an overly romantic Heart-on-Sleeve man. And Sonia falls asleep as e proposes !
But every time Sonia and Jamie have a chat in the Square he's lurking all cats-bum-face thinking "She's getting back wth her ex, the impossibly charming Jamie, it's no good, she won't look at me"

Lisa and Phil , the Mitchells taking over Louise .
Every time Lisas eyebrows meet in the middle she does the shrill harpie voice (and I press mute)

There's a scene coming up soon I think that I found really hard to watch, so I;ll need to check the episodes before I view them.

We've had Hallpwe'en, Roys house was a Hallowe'en Party Base for the little ones in the Square , he was dressed as a vampire telling stories while Barry was meant to come into the room as a ghoul , but decided on a Dinosaur Egg
There was a joint engagement for Billy/Little Mo and Sharon/Tom.
In the club that is now Peggy's (no idea what it was called then)

Of course , Trevor is there in disguise , the same disguise as the gormless Robbie Jackson.
Kat,Mo and Charlie are outside Trevors house (in broad daylight ) trying to find him (while he preys on Little Mo in the Square)

Then the famous showdown where she tells him she isnt scared of him any more ...amd he douses the room in petrol. Which waits patiently till the match is dropped instead of the fumes igniting .
I missed a bit then but we're now in the aftermath of Trevor and Tom perishing in he fire .
Peggy has someone working in the Vic who is hitting on Sam, bringing his mates round and gaslightling Peggy . Don't know where Phil is . Probably looking for Louise ?

Christ, Phil should have finished the job with Sonia when he had the opportunity and done everyone a favour. Talk about needing a coat of Canasten…

We've got as far as Christmas Day , but they've only shown some of the episodes ( I had the distant memory way back then that there were mid-day then evening Eastenders on Christmas Day )

So , in no particular order :

The Fowlers are getting the evils from everyone in the Square after Martin (and Spencer) were on their way to a party in Brighton with Martin driving without Insurance or a Liscence (he's been banned) . Looking at his phone he runs Jamie over
Jamie rescued Peggy and got her purse back after she was mugged , Phil sort of reconciled with him after Peggy had words . He also gave Jamie the money to get Ethel's ring out of hock
The Slater wedding is nigh , they're all (except Belinda who had a Botox malfunction) dressed now .
As Jamie in in hospital after surgery (twice) the Mitchells are staying with him. Jamie made Billy promise to get married
Sonia won't let Phil tell Jamie that he won't make it , but Jamie overhears
Phil meets Kate (who comes back into his life later)
Mark Fowler comes back for Christmas much to Paulines delight , but Mark and Derek aren't civil.
Ian has tricked Laura into signing all her assests over to Pauline ( Pauline goes along with it , as shes already seen Ian bring up another man's child and Mark was duped by Lisa that Louise was his ) . Ian throws Laura out on Christmas Day telling her he had the snip so the baby cannot be his
Barry Evans covers the house in OTT decorative lights which predictably , blow the fuses .
The Evans have Christmas Dinner on the 24th as everyone is going to the wedding (in a Gospel Church)

Last scene was Jamie ,now painfully aware that he's going to die , being held by Sonia and the machines are just about to raise the alarms
