I was reading about David the other day Online, I found somewhere that he had a real affair with Carol. and that he is Bi/Gay. So I read online anyway. Yes he was a bit of alright. Lucky actress Cindy. lol.

I was also wondering where Jack and Max were at the wedding, I wish the current writers would pay more attention to characters' back stories

Apparently he had an affair with the actress that plays carol and her then husband!
Surely we knew far more about how HIV was transmitted in 1996? I could understand Grants ignorance If it was 1986 ,but 1996??

And yes Cindy seems far keener than David ,he's just not that into her is he ,he just sees it all as a bit of fun .

I'm still watching! Really enjoying the Ian/Cindy saga. And I know it's ridiculously contrived, but I'm loving seeing David Wicks failing to manage all his previous wives/girlfriends/conquests!

Also very interested to see what happens with Grant/Tiffany and the baby.

Weird that Kathy & Pat now seem to be best mates, when they were at loggerheads for years after being married to the same man! I'm pleased to see Pat in a happy relationship with Roy though, hope that lasts.

Alan annoys me, why would he ask Frankie to speak to Carol, when he knows Carol hates her?

I want to see more of Nigel and less (ideally none) of bible-basher Sarah.

I remember being so annoyed by Frankie first time round, this time I just feel so sad that the actress died in such horrific circumstances

Paul Nichols is doing such an amazing job as Joe, I think that is one of the main differences between soaps then and now. Soaps today tend to rush headlong into a storyline and not do a proper build up (Yasmeen and Geoff excluded) so it is good to see things differently back then.

And yes, I was originally team Phil, but now most definitely team Grant - at least for now

I remember being gutted when David left the first time around and now il have to go through it again this week

God the Syan Blake stuff is so upsetting to think of. She's actually really good as Frankie.

I think this was a bit of a grim situation point for eastenders, with Joe and his storyline. And Sarah and her involvement with Alastair didn't end well. I never really believed in Lorraine and David; they don't have chemistry. Lorraine and Grant however... Lorraine was never my favourite character with her quavery voice and scary cheekbones.

I seem to remember that there was a rumour that Joe's story was that he was gay but then stories came out that Michael French was gay and they thought it would be better to change it to Joe having mental health issues. And Tony became gay instead.

Very sad David left!

Also new head Martin has arrived to tackle slightly more complex storylines and going off the rails a bit I think? James Alexandrou grew up to be a good looking boy. I saw him in rl once. Very tall!

Typical miserable Eastenders Christmas .

Just caught up as far as Ricky & Bianca's wedding. I'm almost sad they actually did get married, the will-they won't-they storylines were much more interesting! Loved the contrasting hen do and stag do.

I have no idea who'll end up being the father of Courtney but I'm fascinated to see how that all pans out.

Just watching today. Poor Joe having a breakdown and being taken out to an ambulance infront of a massive crowd! The police were there, why on earth didn’t they shift everyone? Teenage boy is a vulnerable person having a mental health crisis. What disgusting people think it’s ok to stand and gawp at that?

Joe is amazing, the hospital scenes were really sad

Was there a missed episode today? First episode ended with Pauline & Dot arriving to chaos at Clare's party.... second episode started with no mention of that, but everyone talking about Grant abducting Courtney?
