I'm just up to the Demi storyline which means lots more shouting and wailing. Plus Minty and Gary in their birding bachelor pad where they can charm the birds phwoar...get more birds in phwoar...to shag. You don't see many men like those two on tv these days.

I hadn't realised that the actress who plays Demi Miller was Joe Swash's sister in real life.

The Friday episodes:

Wedding of Sharon and Dennis
Chrissie lends her a pair of diamond earrings that Den bought her (because she knows this is the nearest she'll get to Den walking her down the aisle)
Chrissie and Kat at each others throats (I did not know Kat and Sharon were good friends but this was years before they were both married to one Phillip Mitchell - not at the same time )
Sam is drunk and digs up the concrete floor ..uncovers The Body and gets arrested (by Walford Police including the Actor Who Plays Mitch )

I watched an old Soldier Soldier episode today ....Colin Salmon was in it ]

I'm trying to recall when Dennis gets shot..

Peggy's back to support Sam. Just watched Kat (screeching like a banshee) and Little Mo fight over Alfie. Cue lots of cow, bitch, slapper, tart comments.

After getting heartily sick of all the crime and criminals and the comedy double-act of the Mitchell brothers, the stand-out recent episode for me was Nana & Alfie travelling to the Normandy beaches. What a fantastic episode with all the history of William!

Can't believe Pat fell for Frank's charms yet again, doesn't she ever learn from her past mistakes? I hope Janine gets punished somehow for poor Barry's murder!

I'm nearly up-to-date so it's nearly Christmas, Nana's funeral

I hope Billy & Little Mo get back together. But I'm not sorry if Martin & Sonia split up, she's far too good for him!

I watched some of the lead up to Christmas :

Honey and Billy playing Elf'n;Santa . She is dippy in the current Eastenders but my goodness she was a dozy mare back then !

Ruby;n;Jules . Johnnie Allen raking through her bag ( cannot remember what excuse he gave ) and finding her MAP. Philth is behind it , I don;t remember him being so spiteful so someone innocent like Ruby . Bu all means go after Johnnie but to use his daughter ( through Jules , Philth didn;t go for Ruby himself) is low

The death of Nan Moon, and t was one of those scenes in Eastenders that is so sad , but it works. Alfie was trying to get the animated snowman to sing and leans forward , he blocks the view pf Nana ,,,,,then we see her slumped on the sofa .

Sonia'n'Martin the Christmas Party and he gets the hump.

I need to catch up on the rest .

Johnnie is really horrible. It's actually making me feel uncomfortable. He had Sharon pinned up against the wall by her neck in todays episode.

The whole Phil, Juley and Ruby thing is also really horrible. I don't remember Phil being so nasty.

I never liked Dennis but watching the Christmas episodes this year he's quite sweet .
Probably put off him last Christmas when the awful Zoe was hanging onto him like a shit filled nappy on a baby's bum.(He wasn;t nice but she was a pain)

Just watched today's Classic EE and am desperate to know what Joe's crime was (that Bert took the rap for and did time). I've looked elsewhere online but there is no answer, only that Joe has a criminal past. Please put me out of my misery if you know the actual crime!

No idea what Joe did but I looked up Bert , he was Jay's Grandad .

I've seen Ray Brook in the flesh, he was doing a training video in my local Tesco store, back in the 90's, and yes, he does have a lovely voice!

This isn't the most interesting time in the classic episodes, it all feels a bit recent (I realise it's not).
Sonia is bloody awful, I remember everyone adoring her but she's horrible. Most of them are to be fair

Barry was a completely different character during his early years in 1994 when he first came and onwards. He was like a dodgy geezer and streetwise womanizer and successful businessman. When did Barry had a personality transplant into a loveable buffoon bumbling clown and what year exactly he gradually changed 1997 or 1998 or 1999 again remind me anyone which one as we look through his early years.

Also Remember Nigel Bates early years when he first came he was a completely different character back in 1992 when he was a harder dodgy dealer and sleazy womanizer and he did some dodgy business with Grant and Grant tried to con Frank for the motor business at the car lot I think. When did Nigel had his personality transplant into a loveable buffoon nerd clown and was it months later anyone remember or know.

Remember Cindy asked Barry for help because of Ian. That's why she got the hitman number from Barry.

Yeah I remember the wedding of Barry and Natalie wedding with Ian and Mel wedding. It was great and comparing Barry in 1994 is completely different character to 1999. See the big personality transplant changed Barry had.

Playing catch up and didn’t watch these episodes first time around

i thought Bradley was a kind lovable boy who did nothing wrong. Just watching where Stacey told him she was pregnant. This and many episodes before just show me he's a nasty, stubborn and aggressive man

I agree about Bradley. He practically bullied Stacey into having an abortion.

I'm also finding Pauline particularly loathsome at the moment. She is bullying Joe and Martin and being really horrible to and about Sonia.

I'm hating Sean ,at the moment,how he's playing with ruby ,and Jake being a gentleman trying to let ruby catch him out ,he nearly managed it ,when Sean had the rep in Jake's office .

So glad that story line is over.
And Jonny alen has just appeared in prison with a note to ring Jake .
