Our Girl Thread 58 "Our Girl and Soldier Soldier Revisited"

We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

Oh no, somebody has just landed in the middle of the cake stall! I think the wind must have been in the wrong direction.

The landings are a hoot.

Comedy gold - loved all those dodgy landings...ha! ha!

That really made me laugh.

Sam Sheridan lands in somebody's back garden, right in the middle of a pond. The next door neighbour looks surprised to say the least!

I used to love those drop waisted dresses.

Lots of baggy clothes in the 90's for both women and men.

I had a few too - brilliant for very hot summer days - lots of air circulating.

Definitely flirting ...

Coffee time - open the jar - he has a dodgy wrist!

This episode is the antidote to the previous ones.

Methinks she doth protest too much

Oh no Sarah, just instant coffee!

She seems to be justifying inviting him in for coffee. Where is this leading?!

I wonder how much older she is than Jeremy?

Ah that's where it's leading!

He really is a bit of a wally - this will not end well.

I don't think it's going to do his career much good if the Lt Col finds out! Where is he supposed to be by the way?

Chris is conflicted over the best thing to do. Poor Angie. Not her fault. Not really his fault either.

Crunch time for Angie and Chris.

Affairs with other officer's wives usually end very badly in Soldier Soldier.

Sad end - Angie is going away while Chris works everything out.

I guess we continue with the Chris and Angie story next week. A pretty good episode actually, I liked that.

I keep thinking Chris is called Michael. There are definite similarities in the characters.

Well really different to last episode. Much lighter yet full of intrigue. Lots of heartache in store though methinks.
