FuzzyPuffling · 10/12/2020 14:13

You're right raahh. Baffling indeed. Also bollocks.

Raahh · 10/12/2020 14:14

Definitely bollocks Grin

Raahh · 10/12/2020 14:18

I have just seen on FB that due to social distancing, the CPR scene was performed using Bear's rl dadGrin.

TDogsInHats · 10/12/2020 16:14

Both me and my mum were endoscoped for Barrett's oesophagus.
I've not got it, mum has. We were very reassured by the explanation and in no way worried. I was horrified at the consultant on DocTors, what a terrible bedside mannerSad

TDogsInHats · 10/12/2020 16:18

It was my lovely GP (sadly now retired) who persuaded me to go for an endoscopy, as I'd been suffering with reflux for years (medication works, omeprazole) He persuaded me it was a good idea to get things looked at ( I was subsequently diagnosed with a couple of conditions)
Coincidentally my mum, who lives elsewhere so not the same GP, was also suggested a check a few months later.

ExpensivelyDecorated · 10/12/2020 17:48

One of the FB comments says it's going off the air again from Christmas to Feb Sad.

I thought they might be using a dummy for the CPR scene.

February! I hope not. Sad.

It's hard to believe that this time last year, it was the start of the 'Jimmi ending up in the Clink' storyline. And when he went on remand until March it seemed like forever and I was sure they would let him out before that- and they didn't!!

Raahh · 10/12/2020 18:14

TDogs my dad was the same- reflux mainly, for years and years, which was why they tested for Barratts.

He has an appointment in a few weeks for another endoscopy, and his partner (who has colitis) is going on the same day for a colonoscopy. They are hoping they don't mix them up Grin.

Funster73 · 11/12/2020 10:54

Thanks for that Raahh I was just catching up and was wondering xx

Funster73 · 11/12/2020 10:56

Doctors - will Al tie the knot?
TDogsInHats · 11/12/2020 14:39

Raahh I don't which is worse: choking on the initial swallowing of the scope or being pumped full of gas and getting a very windy stomach . Not very pleasant but necessary. Fingers crossed for your family scopesDaffodil

Raahh · 11/12/2020 14:54

TDogs Thank you- Dh had the pleasure of having to go for both in one day the other week (thank fully nothing showed up on either) - he was more miffed at having to fast before the colonoscopy really

Having a fun day today. Heard a loud thud- and dd2's curtain pole had fallen off her wall. It's quite a heavy wooden thing, and has been wonky for a while. Her bed is next to the wall/window- good thing she wasn't in it!
Good excuse to wash the curtains for the first time in forever.
