Imagine getting married to Ian, thinking he was about to shuffle off to meet his maker & then he recovered! I wouldn’t blame anyone in that situation for killing him to be fair!

Mel married him because she thought Lucy was dying (I think she went through with it?? It was a long time ago)

My theory is that Sharon does know that Ian's actions led to Dennys death and has been playing the long game. It explains why she appeared to disregard Dottys accusation immediately. She is responsible for the attack on Ian (hired someone rather than did it herself- hence the Karen alibi) so has taken the opportunity to marry him for his life insurance. As I say, just my theory.

Ooh!! What if Sharon and Peter and Kheerat have all worked together! Sharon knows About Ian and Denny, bides her time, she realised a few weeks ago Ian had fallen out with Peter and was living with her because he wasn’t welcome at home so she spoke to Peter, asked what was wrong, Peter told her about mortgaging caff. Sharon Tells Peter about Denny, they decide he must pay, and formulate a plan. Not sure how they got Kheerat on board though

I suppose 'Deal or no deal ' might be repeated on those old channels they have ( like Dave?) but it is so random they both thought of that one show !

I think the writers are about 20 or very naive ! Rainie and Stu have been married for a few months yet know these things about each other already? We are meant to believe they are so in tune , almost physic, when they haven't known each other that long? I've been married 3o odd years and know less about about my dh than they know about each other! 😃 Rainie looked so rough last night. She is up to something.

The thing with Ian and Sharon is very weird, and she's always looking so cagey.
Do you think she's somehow found out the truth about Denny's death, and is looking to take Ian for all he's got?

It's intriguing about Sharon isn't it? She went out with Ian for about a week back in 1985 and nothing at all since! It was always the Mitchell's. Even Kathy knows she doesn't love him.
I think she knows it was him that locked Denny in the room on the ill fated boat trip.

Sharon is absolutely hiding something. I'm not convinced it's about Denny as I think she would have exploded at that, not bided her time and done this.

I don't think Sharon does have money of her own though. Wasn't she pretty much sleeping on Ian's sofa before she moved into the Vic
In fact I remember commenting a while back how depressing it was, that she and certain other female characters are so dependent on men!
