In all the grimness of a looming lockdown I found Emily in Paris total tosh a fabulous distraction. I've also loved The Bold Type. So please hit me with your escapist TV recommendations in the Sex and the City, Gossip Girl, Emily in Paris mould.

Beautiful people, clothes and locations and unchallenging storylines a bonus!!

Revisited this thread after a couple of years. Thanks for the Virgin River recommendation, I’m really enjoying it. It’s been the perfect distraction from a really stressful time at home.

I've just started Virgin River. It's great easy watching.

I love the Real Housewives Franchise, especially New Jersey and BH.

I’m on my 3rd round of Nashville! Love it and I don’t need to concentrate too hard on it, so can browse MN while some of the songs are on, so good for multi tasking 😂
