Adore Mike Leigh especially life is sweet, Alison was wonderful in that.

Oh, Another Year - rarely have I felt such a surge of emotion towards a character, watching a film of this genre. Leslie Manville is an extraordinary actress.

She is so good

I hope it is on Iplayer, have never seen it but loved Secrets & lies & love Alison Steadman.

Love Mike Leigh films...secrets and lies is one of my favourite films!

I watched this for the third time. It struck me that the performances of the female actresses are all outstanding. The male ones are OTT and not at all believable, in my opinion.

They’re all a bit OTT. It’s what unnerves you. ;)
