Has anyone watched this on Netflix?

I wonder why we need a Streamed TV and a Telly Addicts topic!

He did it so he could have a complete new start with no responsibility. Their finances were screwed as they were living completely beyond their means. Shanann was deeply into a MLM and they were projecting this pretend perfect social media life and the money was all gone.

He would have known that if he had divorced Shanann he would have had to support her financially and see the children and what he wanted was to start again.

He's a psychopath and just wanted them out of the way and had the ability to completely switch off that none of us will ever be able to understand. He's admitted that after he killed one daughter the other one asked him if he was going to do the same to her. It's absolutely beyond comprehension.

Even if that is all true, he must have been supremely stupid to think he would get a way with it.

I just felt so, so sorry for that poor woman and her children. Admittedly I didn't take to her from the footage shown- as a Pp said, I also wasn't sure she was completely mentally stable and I'm aware of the power of editing- but I was horrified at what people said about her and her daughters, whom she clearly adored. No one should go through that sort of treatment from their spouse or die that way. How on earth did he think he'd get away with it?

Her family were so lovely and dignified in the face of her vilification. His mother sounded dreadful. Did anyone else notice he definitely had a bit of a type, too? Even his mistress was somewhat duped.

I searched in Telly Addicts not Streamed TV.

I watched this last night and I feel so sad about it.
Poor poor Shannon, why couldn't he have just told her when she was at her parents that he wanted to end the marriage and she maybe would of stayed at her parents where they were all loved and adored.
I can't understand why he would murder them. How did he think he was going to get away with it.
The Polygraph...why did he not have a lawyer ? I'm glad I'm a way he didn't but surely everyone knows you get a lawyer ??
So utterly heartbreaking.

Yes OP - I don't think we need both. Just "Telly Addicts" would be fine and covers all bases.

If only we could train people not to post threads about tv programmes in Chat and Aibu, that would be good too.

I always post about TV in Telly Addicts. Didn't even know we had a Streaming TV channel. If I had known, I wouldn't have posted and would have joined the original post.

Yes, would be good to keep posts under appropriate topics

Horrible programme. I regret watching it, even though I listen to true crime podcasts all the time.

What made it so gruesome was that all the police footage of the investigating officers and the interviews had quite poor picture and sound quality; whereas Shanann’s little videos of herself and the little girls were very clear, so it made her seem so present and vital, and thus all the sadder and more shocking that they are no longer with us.

And as for that piece of human garbage trying to blame her for her children’s deaths... words fail me. Pure evil.
