Anybody watched this? Im watching it now.

It awful. Poor woman. Poor kids robbed of their lives.

Shannan had had a bad marriage before she met Chris Watts. His mother was horrible to her. His sister was horrible to her. His parents didnt go to the wedding because she wasnt good enough.

His mother later wrote a book which was massively inappropriate in its descriptions of Shannan.

Apparently his deluge of fan mail quadrupled after the netflix documentary. I was just watching a clip on youtube, some guy went to interview him in prison and was talking about the amount of mail he gets.

The damaged mindset that would prompt a woman to write to a man who'd murdered his entire families aside , I don't think they should give him these letters. All it does is give him validation.

Dh walked in as I was watching the part where Chris watts says he lifted his daughter out of the car when he was committing his evil against her and she said "daddy, no!" DH had to go and throw up in the bathroom, he was that upset by it- we have two young daughters and he couldn't stop thinking about it for a few days after.

I literally just watched this tonight. While saddened I can't even say I was shocked, the depths of evil in the world doesn't surprise me,

@Trailing1 Yeah, I felt like I was going to be sick too. Just unbelievable.

I disagree with a previous poster. I don’t think the police were very clever at all. They gave him a defence!! In the interview the police woman asks him did Shanann do something to the kids so you had to do something to her?? WTF…..!!!!

I also think that there wasn’t enough of his background and behaviours shown. He lectured people in how to be a perfect husband, yet had multiple affairs. Someone who had sex with him whilst he was married (he was on dating sites) described his violent and self-serving sex with her. He was a sadistic, violent and self-absorbed man.

I also think about what Shananns family said, they believe she would of fought back for all she was worth. I don’t believe anything he has said. I think even his ‘confession’ was his own way of trying to describe the ‘kindest’ version of events he could possibly. Shannan was peaceful in death, the girls died with no struggle with their blankies. He’s less than human and the only dignity afforded to those children and Shannan after they had died was from her family who refused to condemn Watts to death.

He was a cruel man she was pregnant and buried away from her children who were placed in oil filled tanks.

I'm watching it again. It's beyond chilling, and I've watched every murder prog going (and work for the police!).

His demeanour, lack of emotion, his constant refusal to admit it, the shift of the blame. His tears only came for himself. His parents are absolutely dicks for trying to victim blame along with the rest picking apart her personality. Even the bit on the side Nichol comes across as a bit 'off'.

Like a PP said, it wasn't like he snapped in a fit of rage, he had plenty of time on the drive to change his mind.

Those poor girls.

They were clever. They give him 'a defence' so that he would admit that he had killed Shannon. He hadn't thought of that defence and when suggested to him you could see him thinking I can go with that as it would portray him in a better light.

Once he has admitted to killing Shannon then the police knew that they could move onto the next stage of ripping that defence apart.

I’ve seen this, highly disturbing and upsetting. He’s a psychopathic monster, poor babies 😢
